Beautiful hotel.

Beautiful hotel. Room was large, well arranged and looked recently decorated. Everything was perfect. We also had breakfast on the two days. Delicious with lots of choice and friendly staff throughout.

Lovely decor in the hotel, rooms are simple, clean and tidy. The carpet on the stairs and hallway leading to our room on the 1st floor could do with replacing, as it’s very worn and torn in places. Breakfast is fantastic, such a huge selection, from fresh fruit, freshly cooked omelettes, English and continental breakfasts to pastries and yoghurts. The staff are professional and helpful. The only quibble we had was with check in, as we arrived an hour early, our room wasn’t quite ready, so that was understandable, but, the check in staff said we could wait in the bar and would call us when the room was ready, which we thought was no problem as it was our fault for turning up early. But, an hour wait turned into two, as I was told we’d been forgotten about, due to the high volume of visitors being checked in. The staff in reception were polite and apologetic, but, I still didn’t want to waste my time sitting in a bar a lot longer than I had planned. Overall, I would definitely stay again and feel the majority of staff should be commended for their hard work and professionalism.

We changed hotel because the previous one was terribly dirty. We found this one available and we were so happy to have booked with them. Every staff were absolutely gems. Rooms were spacious and clean. Breakfast buffet was excellent. Door men were really helpful and so kind. Check in staff went out of their way to make us feel good! I would recommend this hotel to everyone wanted to stay in Brighton.

Dropped off bags in the morning (as we had a spa booking). Asked at reception if room ready at 2. No, it wasn’t, but “would be ready before 4”. Asked another member of reception staff if we could get our bag, only to be told it was in our room that was very much ready. I hope the original woman at check in was happy with her power trip ‘win’. At check out, the guy in the reception area was more engrossed with the conversation with a colleague than to smile or say good morning/hello. Service aside, we had a nice stay. The newly refurbished room was clean and comfortable. Due to the service levels, we wouldn’t stay at this property again.

Had the most amazing time at the Grand Hotel. Great value for money room with a sea view incredible choice at breakfast. Staff were all very polite and helpful nothing was too much trouble. We will definitely be staying again in the very near future. The hotel is on the sea front near to the lanes and jewellery quarter plenty of bars and restaurants. Great place to stay

Rough around the edges. We had a lovely stay at the Grand. There were a few occasions during our stay where we feel the service could have been better. We would probably return, but only for the sea views and beautiful architecture.

I saw on their facebook account that they giving some treats to their guests who are celebrating birthdays.I called 2x to informed them, I even purchase their wine, but no treats or greeting card when we arrive. Only then when a room service staff gave the ice bucket that I requested, I asked her if their really giving those kind of treat. She came back with just 4x chocolates, which is fine, I guess. Considering we stayed for 3x day 2 nights, had breakfast for 3. They even gave us the ugliest room. Down to last corner. No view and no balcony. Reception and concierge wont even greet you, just "hello" I even said "good morning" to them. I called room service 3-4x no one was answering. No toothbrush & toothpaste and no slippers. We have to call them to make a request. Didn't refill the shower gel, shampoo and conditioner. Mind you their are so tiny and we have to share it for 3 days for 3 pax. Breakfast was good. Bellhops are nice.
