This hotel has no elevator, and our room was about a 5 minute walk from the front desk. We had a heavy cooler, along with all of our many bags that we had to carry up and down the stairs, then another 5 minutes down a never ending hallway to our room. The bed made an explosion sound that echoed below the room everytime when sitting on it. The bed was also very uncomfortable. The front desk staff was not very friendly or hospitable. The sauna was not working, and the pool is very dirty all along the walls of the pool there are dirt marks, along with finger and feet prints. I will absolutely not stay here again.

Great location with plenty to do in the area. The purpose of our trip was to visit Indiana Dunes NP, which is very close to the hotel. The hotel is located on a lake which added to its appeal. The general areas of the property were well kept and clean as was our room and bathroom. The breakfast was a typical hotel breakfast. I would definitely recommend this hotel when traveling to the area, and I would stay here again.

The property is very dated. There are actually signs on the exterior doors stating that they are going to remodel soon, but that is not helpful to someone who will never need to stay in that area again. Also, there is no elevator, so if you must stay there and have difficulty climbing stairs make sure you request a first floor room. The check-in clerk was extremely rude. There was a couple in front of me who walked up to the second floor to check in. The clerk said "Hey guys - you are on the first floor." And she rolled her eyes when she said it. She then mumbled something about the room number being on the room pass she gave them. I said "pardon me?" and she said "I was just taking to myself." I went down to the breakfast area to get a coffee in the morning. Someone had burned their toast and the alarms started going off. None of the staff seemed interested and did not bother to open a door to let the smoke out. There were raccoons in the back parking lot during the day - very brazenly scavenging the open dumpster and the open trash barrels that are located next to the doors to the parking lot. They were not afraid of me trying to shush them away. There was chewed up trash on the ground next to the trash barrels both mornings I stayed there - my guess is that it was from the raccoons. I wouldn't stay there again.

We loved our stay it was our twenty year anniversary and it didn't disappoint we loved everything about it plus all the animals came to the fence out by the lake it was beautiful ❤️ our room was nice with a Jacuzzi and a fireplace plus have an indoor pool breakfast we absolutely enjoyed ourselves we will stay here again
