We did online check in- got there and still had to show ID and give credit card and everything that I had already done online. Then we were shown our room. It smelled horrible like mold and mildew! The shower curtain stunk. The drains smelled. Every time the AC came on, it smelled like mold. It was awful. I didn’t fall asleep until 3am. The front desk guy was very nice- showed us 2 other rooms but they all smelled equally bad. Will never stay at a Microtel again.

I had to put ear plugs in to sleep because it was so loud. People above me banging all night and just be a fan or laundry room of some sort right behind my room 117. Will never stay there again or recommend it.

No TV or Vending machines

Our TV would not work. The front desk said it was because it was storming. When the storm was over it still didn't work. They said it was an issue with the cable company. The satellite dish was buried in weeds. The vending machine was also out of order. The hot and cold was backwards on the shower.

Dirty outdated hotel near Kings Island

I requested a top floor room she put me on the bottom floor. The room was yellow for nicotine stains, and had a strong cigarette smell. Returned to the front desk told her about the condition of the room. Her response was they are a no smoking hotel. No apologies but she did move me to a top floor. The room on the top floor was filthy still smelled of cigarettes, but less so then the first room, the tub and the bathroom was cracked and looked like it had mildew or mold around it. There was someone else’s hair on the towels. When I checked the mattress, there was no mattress cover only sheets over it, and the bed was stained yellow. The floors were filthy. They need to improve their cleaning pad mattress covers, fix the cracks and replace broken fixtures. It was very outdated for the price of 119 a night. I expect more the only place to stay was that it was close to Kings Island. There were several other hotel options near this hotel spend a little bit more and get a cleaner room and better service.

Men were smoking a joint right at the door as I walked out with my son. There were police there both nights I stayed. Saturday night there were multiple police present for hours. The rooms weren’t overly clean and mirrors behind the bed.
