Ian’s property was a perfect place to stay in Cloudcroft. We come here every year or so and this is by far our favorite location and favorite property that we’ve stayed in. The first thing that set it apart from other properties was the cleanliness- everything was spic and span for our arrival. We love the location as it backed up to the national forest and we had a hiking trail right out our backyard. We could hike to the Pines Campground area or go towards the OSHA Trail. There was also a very professional disc golf course within walking distance through the forest. At the beginning of the trip, it was just my husband and I and then our grown sons, granddog, and one wife joined us. The house was large enough for the five of us. The kitchen in particular was set up in a great way that there could be many of us cooking and not getting each other‘s way. The master bedroom was perfect- comfy king bed. The 2 other bedrooms were small- one had a queen bed and the other bunk beds (not great for adults). Our granddog immediately loved the house and was super chill and relaxed the whole time. We used the baby gate across the front steps and he was able to go out on the front porch and hang out. Because he is a big dog, we could not let him out in the backyard as the fence is very low. He would’ve chased the many deer and elk that we saw.Only a few recommendations--Bring your own food storage containers-replaced several lightbulbs -more eatting utensils needed
