Good practical hotel

Though a bit dated, this hotel is well maintained and practical. Hotel overall and rooms are kept is good working order and clean. The staff is friendly and professional. Restaurants are nice, especially the old one. One of the best things with this hotel is the location. Especially in summer, the location is beautiful and a nice short walk to center of Savonlinna.

Hotelli on enimmäkseen 60-70 luvulta peräisin. On hyvä, että yleisiä tiloja, huoneita ym. ei ole tarpeettomasti modernisoitu, vaan paikat on lisätty siistinä ja ehjänä, mutta alkuperäisenä tai sen tyylisenä. Plussaa siis tyylistä, mutta modernia ilmettä ihannoiville ei ehkä IDO 59:t passaa. Spa ei ole suuren suuri, mutta polskinta siellä onnistuu ja talviremontin jälkeen ehkä poreetkin taas toimivat. Kylpylänkin tunnelma on miellyttävän retro mutta toisaalta siellä on tunnelmallinen, nykyaikainen valaistus. Toimiva allasbaari ja etenkin mahdollisuus vetää juomat altaassa lojuen on meillä päin harvinaista. Ravintolassa saa ruuan, tästä ei suuria plussia mutta ajaa asiansa. Aamiainen on varsin hyvä. Ympäristö on mitä hienoin, keskustaan pääsee hetkessä kävellen.m
