Disappointing stay

I was disappointed in my stay at Homewood Suites by Hilton Columbus/Airport. The hotel was under construction and we had to walk to the other side of the hotel to use the elevators. I ordered a kitchen and there was no blender available. We were only provided with a limited number of utensils and towels in the kitchen. The phones in the room were not working so I had to call the front desk using my cell phone. The toilet was running the whole time we were there but there was no one available to fix it when I told the front desk. When I checked out of the hotel, neither one of the elevators were working so I had to use the stairs when leaving with my luggage.

We loved our stay. Been to a lot of hotels, this exceeded our expectations. We LOVED our room. Very clean, comfortable beds and furniture. Enjoyed the fireplace on the chilly nights. Kitchen was well equipped. Staff was very friendly. Wish we could've stayed longer

Property was under construction. It was torn up. It was loud with banging. Breakfast was upstairs and limited. No blow dryer. Tried to call downstairs and both phones were broken. Room smelled heavy with smoke. Just an overall bad experience.

The Airport shuttle is actually Uber ride that the hotel arranged, it was very convenient and they were quick to respond. The hotel front desk was friendly. My room was not very clean, There was debris on the floor and the night stand had not been cleaned.

Under construction. No breakfast. Our suite had a broken dish washer full of dirty dishes. I reported it upon arrival and nothing was done about it. Showers do not drain well, toilet old, made weird noise and leaked. The room next to us had a dog that barked , even though this was listed as a dog free hotel. Pool was cloudy and dirty, and had no towels available. Way too much money for a poor experience.

There was no breakfast like advertised as well as a they were remodeling and was not notified. Elevator did not work making my son who has muscular dystrophy to walk down stairs or to the other side of the building. The shower in my room was dirty and looked like it hadnt been cleaned!

The room was very nice, clean and comfortable. Staff very nice. They are renovating the dining room and check in desk so it was dusty. Only one elevator was working. Uber is their shuttle to the airport; he was on time and very pleasant. Would stay here again!

The hotel is beautiful, even though me and my husband couldn't get out of town it was nice for us to be able to get away for the nice in a beautiful hotel for our anniversary will be going back for long, the lady that checked us in was friendly and patient and also very helpful.

Dirty and a total let down.

Front desk was ok. We stayed on the second floor. Immediately after stepping off the elevator the entire floor smelled like urine. The room itself did not have a urine smell but was not pleasant either. It’s pretty clear bedding is NOT washed regularly. The comforter on the bed was very dirty and had makeup on it. Had clearly not been washed in quite a while. The sheets had hairs in them so I’m questioning if those were even changed. The shower curtain also has not been washed as it was covered it dirty hand prints on the one side where none of us had touched. The toilet seat was broken and the entire toilet was loose from the floor. Overall cleanliness of the room was lacking. We’ve stayed in this hotel other times and every time we come back it gets a little worse. After this stay, we will absolutely not be coming back.

I just want to start out by saying that this review is not due to the front desk staff or Shawn(Manager). We arrive and immediately went to our room drooped our bags and went for dinner. Upon returning from dinner I noticed a few things right away(paint chipping in tub, toilet was not sufficiently cleaned, mirror door for closet was off of the hinges mold in the ice-maker for the freezer, grease covered the table between beds) and more or last looked at it like it a hotel and it won’t be perfect. The breaking straw was the pull out bed. It appeared to be saturated in urine at one point. I took pictures and went to the front desk to go over the what was found. The night shift front desk employees were great but stated that there were no more rooms available. They did take notes for the manager upon his arrival in the morning. I then told the front desk that I was going to stay at another hotel because my children were not going to sleep on that and they could not change the mattress. I booked another hotel and left. The next morning, I head to the hotel only to find that it was a blessing that we did not stay the night. There were over 50 vehicles I that area that were smash and grabs and as I entered the parking lot, many cars had black garbage bags over the windows that were broken. The manager is exceptional but I believe owners are not invested in this hotel. We tend to stay at the HW locations quite often and this one is not up to par.

Poorly maintained

The room was not well-maintained. Soap and conditioner were empty as I noticed while taking my 1st shower. The smoke alarm started chirping from battery wear at 3 am and thus interrupted my sleep. Trash laid around in common space-hallway by elevators for days

BEYOND our expectations

Our flight did not arrive until after 12:30am and when I called for shuttle service they had two u ears over at the airport to pick us up and bring us to the hotel. They had our room keys ready and check in took less than one minute! We were in our super homey and welcoming two bedroom suite in minutes. Our first experience with this stay will not be our last! What an amazing place to stay. PS. We missed the 9am cut off for breakfast but they opened the kitchen area so we could get hot drinks!!! What customer friendly service!!!
