Staff was very friendly. Check-in and check-out were very easy. Convenient parking right in-front of our room. Lake was stunning across the road from property. Weather didn’t permit us to explore the outdoors. There were two double sized beds in our room. Unfortunately, one mattress was noisy and lumpy.

Two things hit us early when we arrived: 1) The friendly & helpful staff that worked with us when we asked for options for a last minute add-on to our group and the smell of Pine Sol in the room indicating they scrub the place. This location is like a scene out of Dirty Dancing, very charming rooms with an old school feel. Nothing modernized here, and that’s just fine. The room was comfortable & quiet…exactly what I need when I need a lower-priced, utilitarian room I’m just resting in. We did not take advantage of the beach access but sitting on the top lawn and chatting while looking down on the lake just felt right. If you’re looking for modern amenities & a 4-⭐️ hotel, this isn’t the place for you. If you’re looking for a rustic & welcoming place to rest, save some $ and give them a try.

The website made this cabin appear to be on the lake. It was not even close to the lake, probably 150 yards away with a highway between. And this was not a cabin, this was a small mobile home. Not what I expected at all.

Staying in one of the cottages, we found the accommodations clean and comfortable. The lake view from our deck was spectacular. Sunrises are beautiful! The staff is attentive to guest needs. WI-FI is sufficient. We’ve stayed at the Lakeview a couple of times before, and look forward to coming back on our next Cooperstown trip.

Mostly adequate, however, we had to change rooms due to rotten beds. They sagged in the middle ensuring that you would roll to the middle, also groans or squeaked when they were touched. There is no fan in the bathrooms so it would get drippy when you showered. Additionally, the refrigerator in the room made noise constantly and we were unable to unplug as the dresser was up against the plug. Moving to a second room, the beds were almost as bad.

Getaway weekend

Nice clean room with a great view of the lake. Close enough to Cooperstown to visit but away from the noise to relax.
