I liked the staff and their laid-back, but eager-to-please attitude. Also, the location 50 feet from the beach was special with lifeguard safe swimming, an abundance of restaurants, and ecltic sightseeing.

Overall not a terrible place to stay. Definitely needs a lot of upgrades. The air conditioner unfortunately was very loud and would turn on every 10 minutes and it sounded like a motorcycle rubbing. You're not able to control the temperature either. So it was very hot in the room.

The room was clean, staff was friendly. The hotel is very old and there is not parking. Private lots charge crazy rates and the city street parking is not great. If you get a ticket you cannot get another 24 parking pass online, its blocks you out. Parking garage 5 blocks away is your best bet.

The staff was exceptionally nice and helpful. The rooms were nice however the Wi-Fi at least in my room was poor and a TV was pretty small for the size of the room and how inexpensive TVs are nowadays
