We booked this hotel for our wedding staying since we no longer reside in Florida but i wedding was planned in Fort Lauderdale. The guest service was great, friendly and helpful! Our most upsetting issue was the room; upon entrance it was clean however the smell of mold was unbearable, even my guest spoke up about it. It took 2 days and many trips to the front desk to ask for someone to clean the room/ and bring towels until they final came on the 3rd day. We thought we lost something the night of our wedding and called the front desk the next morning to check and ask to review the camera but never received a call back. Thankful the item was with a family member but the care to return the call was not there. Loved every thing else.

Great look but not great rooms

10/10 in terms of it feeling like a fancy hotel. Very outdated rooms and awful A/C smell in multiple rooms (we booked multiple for a family trip). Our rooms weren’t ready for 4PM check-in so we were forced to just sit there. Multiple rooms we didn’t get the bed we ordered / paid for. Location is good and safe so that was a big win.

This is a poorly maintained hotel near a trailer park and pawn shops and tatoo parlors - not to be confused with the Westin Ft Lauderdale Beachfront Resort. The gym smelled so bad we could not workout. Everything was just icky

Draw back staying at this hotel, there is not one restaurant anywhere close to eat. So if you do not have a car you will have to Uber or Taxi but make sure you have a restaurant picked out

Very inviting front entrance and lobby, nicely laid out room and wonderful bed. Even though the carpet & couch have visible signs of wear, this was still a nice experience. The iguanas laying around by the pool are a bit much.

Extremely Disappointing Stay – Not Up to Marriott Standards I booked The Westin Fort Lauderdale for a desperately needed getaway after my girlfriend tragically found her father dead. Instead of the comfort we hoped for, we faced a series of unacceptable issues: an empty soap dispenser, broken lights, clogged shower, and a bed so broken down it caused severe back pain. We were moved three times, promised upgrades that turned out to be downgrades, and spent hours waiting due to staff miscommunication. Even the Governor's Suite was subpar—no place to hang clothes, and the bed was unusable. Despite assurances, the 10,000 points promised were never credited, and the overall response from staff was dismissive and uncaring. After years of loyalty to Marriott, this was by far the worst experience I’ve ever had. Save your money and stay elsewhere—this property is not worth the frustration.

This hotel did not match my experiences at other Westins. The hotel lobby and restaurant were impressive. However, the room did not meet the standard you would expect in a Westin Hotel. The room badly needed a face lift. The carpet looked worn and stained. The door was hanging off the night table, the safety deposit box didn’t work. The bathroom door creaked loudly and the entrance door was stiff to open. The step into the bathroom was stained and the toilet was very loud especially if you have to flush at night.

We have stayed at this Westin for many years. Very good location. Friendly and competent staff. Facility is clean, spacious, well lighted ample parking. Brunch is very good and reasonably priced.
