Way too much outside noise to sleep comfortably

Apartment was nice however first room was just above a bar which is open to 3am. Other pubs and clubs within earshot. Noise outside was bad then had the clean up road sweep around 4 and the clock bell tower outside chimming from 8am. I did request a move and they gave me another room on the 3rd floor which was an upgrade, however the noise was not much better still lots of shouting and laughing outside at 5am. Not a location for sleep. Staff were nice and did all they could.

I stayed at this property in Sydney And this one in Glasgow is so badly maintained They don’t even come for cleaning if it’s short stay by the saying it’s service apartment and the don’t do cleaning for short stay Short of staff And not really helpful Only one bottle given for two people and you need to refill it all the time by yourself going out in the lobby Very old style furniture

Noisy building and location

Because of the nature of it being an old building with uninsulated creaky wooden floors, the noise from the people above me was extremely disturbing. It’s not that the people were noisy. They were just moving around but from 7:30 in the morning till midnight made it very stressful with human activity sounding like a herd of stampeding cattle. Street noise was also loud with drunks partying in the street and shouting at 3 in the morning.

The hotel was easy to find, booking in was easy, the receptionist was very friendly.Our room was on the first floor overlooking Albion Street, the room was clean & tidy , it looked like it had been cleaned well, a nice touch was washing up liquid and a tea towel, the only negative was the draught coming through the very large windows,there was thick curtains but the draught still came through! All in all a good place to stay

Fabulous property and staff. Apartment amazing in every respect with lovely high ceilings. Based on past reviews I asked for a high floor room (got 3rd floor facing street) which had secondary glazing. But the noise late at night even on a Wednesday went on till just after midnight. So amazing place just sadly let down by something totally outside its control.
