When I booked, somehow I did not realize I could be in a two-twin-bed room. Twin beds are shorter than I am tall. Then, when searching for an outlet to charge my phone, I found a cockroach scampering around the bed trying to remain hidden. I was moved to a single-queen room the next morning, earlier than I would have preferred after 26-hours of travel . This new room had random long, black hairs throughout the bathroom--not mine as I have short, light-brown hair... Combining parking and resort fees brought the total cost of staying here to the same price as much more reputable, assuredly cleaner accommodations in the area. HOWEVER: The staff was very accommodating in moving me the next morning, especially after the short beds and cockroach. I didn't report the hair in the new room, I just picked it up. The property has a "beach bum" vibe and quick room-flips should be expected. If that's your thing, this is a totally ok place to stay. PROS: The Waikiki area is all within reasonable walking distance, maybe 5-10 minutes to several dining/shopping/beach options. The staff was super accommodating as well. The property wasn't to my liking, but that doesn't mean it won't work for you. Definitely a beach-bum vibe, with industrial carpeting to accommodate wet/sandy returns from exploring the lovely area!

This review may be a little long, but I decided to give this hotel 1 star. The only positive aspect is its location—it’s very close to downtown and the beach, both within walking distance. However, there are several downsides. The rooms are quite basic and not very clean. Personally, I wasn’t too concerned about the room itself since the price was low and I only needed a place to sleep and shower. What truly disappointed me was the service. At check-in, the front desk staff (who mentioned she was the shift supervisor) did not allow me to check in because my first name matched my ID, but my last name did not match exactly. I explained that I’ve never had this issue at other hotels, but she insisted that it was my problem and not hers, as she was simply following the rules. While I can understand that hotels have policies to follow, I felt the interaction could have been handled in a much friendlier and more helpful manner. Fortunately, the booking company (Orbitz) stepped in and quickly resolved the issue, allowing me to check in without further stress. Parking was also a problem. Even after paying $37 per night for 3 nights, there were no spaces available, while non-paying cars were parked in the lot. This happened more than once, and other guests faced the same issue. Overall, while the location is good, the service and management need significant improvement.

Smart Traveler who mostly sleeps in Hotel

Although not ritzy, comfort level is where any smart traveler is beyond content. All the comforts of home at your fingertips with room amenities topped with water dispenser in lobby.., I’m telling you, GOOD water. Free recent DVd’s for anyone crazy enough to not be outside in HONOLULU. Walk to beach is quick but the REAL advantage is you pass by all the hidden small restaurants that don’t have all the touristy bells and whistles. Food in these places like made from Mamasan. Happy hunting!

I saw some specks of mold on the ceiling in the bathroom and rust on some of the hardware. There was an orange discoloration on the bottom sheet that I only noticed when moving the top sheet; it made an outline on the outside of where the top sheet was laying It was nice and cool when I walked in the room, which was super nice after traveling all day

The parking here is absolutely terrible if you have a larger vehicle. The pool is very tiny. Being along the canal, there isn’t very much noise from the street. It is a very convenient, walkable location to the beach and dining.

our room was infested with roaches and is very small with very little walk way for ourselves between the bed and the wall and a very small bathroom. we told the guest services about our room have roaches but they just shrug it and gave us lies about them doing pest control, didn’t even transfer us to a room without roaches and how would you even promise a guest you’re gonna do pest control on a room you’re staying in, that is just pathetic.
