We have been Hilton Garden Inn Waikiki Beach regular guests for over a decade, staying with this specific hotel twice yearly. So yes, over 20 visits! The last couple of times we have visited, we have had experiences that we wanted to believe were “one-offs,” but this last visit was unacceptable for the loyalty we have extended. I added notes to the reservation. Although I realize that nothing is guaranteed, I will not discount the lack of loyalty we have given when a simple request cannot be honored. We were placed directly next to the largest elevator when I noted that we had a light sleeper in our party. I’m not even the light sleeper and I was kept awake by it. The elevator had a loud rumble followed by the standard ding once it stopped. It was insane how much noise came through the wall. I pressed for a different room upon check-in and was told nothing was available. However that was NOT TRUE because there were other rooms available for booking when I was checking in. I checked - thanks to today’s technology. Additionally, I tried checking in two hours after check-in was available and had to wait for our room. Valet parking was up to 45 minute wait the last couple of times we’ve visited. Meanwhile there are employees who stand around doing literally nothing and the valet runners are constantly on their phone. Done with being loyal to a hotel who doesn’t understand hospitality and lack of appreciation for returning guests.

Upon check-in staff was warm and welcoming. Appreciate the service provided by Maila. Beds are comfortable, rooms are quiet and the shower has great water pressure. Lots of food options in the area and a quick walk to the beach. Would stay again!

It was not that good place to be for vacation and they charge astronomical for car park. Next time I won’t be booking this place or park my car here at all. Awful!!!
