Nice position right near sea front.Helpful staff.

Breakfast for a 4 star hotel was not very good on the first morning better on 2nd and not as good on 3rd. Coffee machine not bean to cup which produced a below average coffee had tea on rest of breakfasts. Ketchup was in sachets which for that star rating was not what you would expect. The home of hops and no real ales just European beers on tap. Tap in bathroom sink if arm lifted to high it soaked us and the floor. Radiator in bathroom was not possible to regulate which made the room unbearably hot. Told them well in advance about our allergies but they were still not prepared which made things more difficult than it needed to be.

The reception staff were welcoming and friendly, our room 325 was lovely, with a huge comfy bed and a clear sea view (usually hotels facing the sea have filthy windows but this was really clean!). A kettle for tea and coffee in the morning with a packet of biscoff, good storage space and a safe. Bathroom was a good size and it was so nice to have proper sized bath towel rather than the small things most hotels provide these days. We unfortunately didn’t have time to sample the breakfast. Would definitely stay here again.

Relaxing break

We enjoyed a few relaxing days in a sea view room. Hotel was good, staff excellent especially in dinner room. Breakfast self service adequate ( spotted some cobwebs in breakfast room!) evening meals excellent. Overall good experience, will go again.

There are a lot of staff at reception who spend most of their time gossiping. I arrived 3 hours early because I’d booked a massage for the only timeslot I could get but despite me asking several times reception did absolutely nothing to try to help get my room ready early. Most hotels will call the cleaning staff to try to get the room ready early. So I sat in the lobby for 2 hours-there is nowhere suitable to work in the hotel. The room was absolutely freezing despite setting the thermostat to 22 degrees. I accidentally left my toothbrush and toothpaste at home. Most hotels have supplies of these but here you have to pay £3 to a vending machine in the ladies toilets. Ultimately this is a glorified motel.
