Hotel Okura is beautiful. I loved my view of the harbor from my room with the sparkling waters every morning. The location is very central to some popular tourist attractions including Meriken Park and it was very easy to get around on foot. We were able to visit the shopping malls nearby -- no more than 15 minutes away from the hotel. There are beautiful views very close by the hotel. The staff was very kind and pleasant. The room was clean and well maintained. I would stay here agin.

During my two-week trip through Tokyo, Osaka, Kobe, and Arima, I had only planned to spend one night in Kobe. That one night brought me to Hotel Okura. My plan was simple: try some famous Kobe beef and see Kobe Port Tower. Once I arrived at the hotel, I ended up doing much more than expected. I visited the Emerald Bar and had a great time thanks to the drinks and the wonderful staff. I was also able to reserve a sushi dinner at the hotel’s Japanese restaurant on the same night. Since I had heard that Kobe is well known for seafood, I made a last-minute switch from beef to sushi. The omakase dinner was unforgettable and left me wishing I had booked at least one or two more nights, both to enjoy the hotel even more and to explore the city of Kobe properly.

This hotel is in great location in Kobe’s harbour front. The city loop bus stops right in front of hotel so easy to get around and tour the city! Rooms spacious but a bit dated. Rooms were comfortable and has gorgeous views! Very clean hotel but didn’t enjoy the restaurant.

Hotel Okura Kobe was an excellent choice for the trip to Kobe. The hotel was top level, spacious rooms, outstanding amenities, including state-of-the art gym, swimming pool with marked lanes, powerful jacuzzi, hot and cold water tubs in spa area, delicious cuisine, impeccable service and staff. It is highly recommended!
