loved the large lobby area and the bar beside it--we had over 20 people in our group and could get together there-it was a nice historic building--carolines staff served our wedding group and was fantastic--front desk people were great-- just had problems with our keys not working and our room was cold---down to 55 in a.m. the a.c. kept kicking in around 5:00 a.m. but we lived through it!

Hotel Julien was perfect!

What a beautiful hotel! Our room was spacious, clean, and comfortable, and afforded us a wonderful view of the cathedral and the bluff. The lobby and Riverboat Lounge were beautifully decorated, keeping the historic nature of the hotel in mind. We walked everywhere - museums, churches, shopping, restaurants - the hotel was so conveniently located. Couldn’t have asked for a better experience.

Won’t stay again

Staff was not very friendly or helpful for the hotel. The pool/hot tube was out of order which was a main reason we picked this hotel, staff did not tell us that upon check in and was rude when we asked where the pool was. Fan in bathroom didn’t work. Overall, we should have stayed at the holiday inn. Hotel is historic and had charm. They give coupons to their restaurant/bar that’s cool.

better luck next time

the first thing i saw when i entered my room was a roach crawling all over the bed. i went to the front desk and the person working didn't show any morse. just changed my room. the next room tv was my hooked up at all.
