A very simple but effective hotel that I’d love to of stayed longer in. The beds was extremely comfortable and while not the most spacious, was definitely a nice place to rest and relax in.

If you’re going to stay in Kyoto this is a good choice. Good location & accommodating staff. Close enough to Kyoto station to walk and directly next to subway line and bus. Elevator if you have heavy luggage. Easy check in with machine. Nice lobby and shower rooms. The rooms are smaller but very cute.

Good overall except the bed mattress which is too thin for my back!! Also there should be more hook in the shower area. Washing and Drying machine is horrible! My clothes never dry properly and the clothes smell. Get a better detergent!

I really liked the hotel; the staff was very attentive. The only thing that could be improved is the bathrooms, which could be a bit cleaner. Other than that, the hotel was excellent and centrally located.

I made a mistake when I booked in overlooking the fact that this hotel has the shared bathrooms. However, after check-in, I’ve also found other things not in the room. Such as no sink/toilet, no mini fridge, not even a garbage can. The only thing in the room is a bed. Thank God it has an electrical/USB socket in the room so at least I can charge my phone. My wife was dissappointed, to say the least, compared to other hotels we stayed in Tokyo and Osaka.

Perfect stay

Our stay was amazing. We booked a shared room and it was comfortable. The communal bathrooms were very very clean and very very nice. The water pressure and temp are perfect. 10/10 recommend. I wish we were in the area longer!

Excellent family accommodation

A bunk room was perfect for our family of four. The whole hotel was kept spotless during our stay. Staff were friendly and helpful, and a late check-in (11pm) caused no problems. Our rate included a decent breakfast (western or Japanese style) at the friendly restaurant a few seconds from the hotel. Great location right next to Gojo subway station, and easily walkable from Kyoto station too.
