Cheap for a reason
While we loved our stay in Lagos, it was not because of the accommodation, but rather in spite of it. While it looks like the pictures, it had a varying smell of sewage throughout our stay, this smell was also outside so it may just be the area as opposed to a problem with the apartment itself. There is a loud street beneath it that’s busy with traffic but it gets quieter at night. The floors were grimy and sticky - we felt like we needed to wear indoor shoes. It was very hot overall with little respite and a very grimy/dusty fan, which we didn’t want to turn on. The beds were also very old and uncomfortable to the point it made sleeping difficult (pillows were not comfortable either). The apartment was not very well equipped either - it didn’t have any beach towels, kitchen towels/napkins/paper towels, a wine bottle opener, oven mitts, basics like salt/pepper/oil, coffee, dish soap/sponge (one sponge was available but very dirty), or body soap/shampoo/conditioner. Additionally, some kitchen attire was left dirty when we arrived like the only cutting board (with the cleaning supplies under the sink and very grimy), some pots and pans, and the coffee makers. Overall, it was a disappointing accommodation, but if you are looking for a budget stay, and what I mentioned works for you, it will suffice for your stay like it did ours. Much of Lagos is just a walk away (20-30 minutes for most things) and there is free parking always available. You do also get a great view of storks.
