Room was very clean and spacious. Only downside was that the bathroom door didn’t slide closed all the way and couldn’t be locked. And the toilet chain kept getting stuck. But the biggest downside of our stay was the parking. We came back one evening to a full lot and had nowhere to go. There should be marked spaces with room numbers. Location was fantastic and the free weekend breakfast was some of the best complimentary breakfast I’ve ever had.

Wonderful Motel in Wilmington, NY (Whiteface Mountain) with updated casual atmosphere, friendly staff, and an onsite restaurant and bar that provide delicious, thoughtful, and farm fresh cuisine and cocktail, mocktail, beer, cider, and wine options. The newly renovated double room included a mini fridge, free wifi, flat screen TV with cable, and air conditioning, among other amenities. The motel is dog friendly (call ahead to ensure room is pet friendly and pay small pet fee). 1 minute drive/6 minutes walk to downtown Wilmington and about 20 minutes from Lake Placid. Other onsite amenities include a communal kitchen, ski tuning room, outdoor fire pit, seating areas (covered and uncovered), community grille, and weekend breakfast buffet (try the muffins). Just a few minutes drive to local hiking spots. Adirondack Chocolate and Gift Shop is just around the corner accessible via sidewalk. Would Highly Recommend 10/10

The outdoor area was beautiful, we especially loved the fire pit! The room was nice. Beds were comfortable. Breakfast was homemade and delicious. Staff was super friendly and helpful with any needs. We also really appreciated the amount of towels we had in our room, with a family of 6 we usually always have to ask for more towels, but this place gave plenty (10 towels!). There is a beautiful beach right down the road, with a playground and kayak rental. We walked, it was about 14 minutes, but would have been only a 5 minute drive! I highly suggest going!

I loved everything. The ease of parking right outside of your room. The grounds were so pretty at night, kit up and a real fire pit. It was peaceful. Shelly and her staff were always available with any questions. I ate dinner the 1st night there and it was delicious and welcoming. I even extended my stay a night. I booked it to see the Olympics ice skating championships which was just a 15 minute drive. There really isn't anything around there to eat or shop so just got to Hannafords ahead of time.
