Central location, short walk from the railway station, to the shops and cafes. Beautiful decor, large bright rooms. Loved the wide corridors to the rooms. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Would definitely stay there again. 😁

Clean and tidy with excellent service from reception staff. Rooms are a little tired (albeit we went for standard) and breakfast was a bit of a farce but did the job and the two receptionists we dealt with were truly excellent

Stayed here 3 times short walk from the station! Stayed in room 205 which is at the rear of the building so nice and quiet away from the city traffic noise! We always book DB&B excellent value, the hotel seemed quieter than previous visits. Pre-dinner drinks were very very limited as bar person said they were waiting for a delivery actually only Guinness on draft & beer fridge almost empty! My partner & I both choose the soup which was delicious he had chicken curry which was an large portion together with trimmings I choose seafood

Recently refurbished. Skeleton staff levels. Only one beer on tap, in spite of having 4 beer taps. Breakfast was terrible. My shambled eggs were inedible, snd my wife's toast wasn't toasted!

Curtains off hooks so didn't hang properly let in light. Bathroom door not fitting let in light as wouldn't close. Previous guests have tried as stripped paint off door edge. Bath cold tap didn't work.

Beautiful Royal Kings Arms Lancaster

We had a lovely stay in the beautiful Royal Kings Arms with a view of Lancaster Castle from our bedroom window, very genuine welcome from the lovely staff and management, perfect stay.
