This was the worst experience we have ever had at a hotel. The first morning of our stay we got a call early in the morning telling us that we needed to change rooms due to an issue with the fire alarm in our room not working. We had to pack up everything and move to another floor to a smaller worse room. Then that night other guests walked into our room because no one had updated in the system that we had changed rooms and the room was now occupied. This was pretty disruptive to our evening and trying to get to sleep for the night. The next morning I woke up with itchy bug bites all over my hand, arm and foot. We then found bed bugs in our bed and were pretty disgusted and upset by this. We immediately went to speak to a manager about this and found an employee that told us that there wasn’t one available. This employee said that she could help us and we explained the situation to her. We requested some sort of reimbursement and she said “I’m not giving you anything” and accused us of lying. I showed her my many bug bites and asked if she would go to the room so that we could show her the bugs and she replied “ I’m not going up to your room”. We showed her pictures that we took of the bug in the bed and she claimed that it wasn’t a bed bug even though it looked exactly like pictures of bed bugs. She then asked how I didn’t wake up when I was being bitten as if that was proof that I was lying. I asked that she get a manager for us to speak to and she said no.
