It only had two elevators with 17 floors and one of the elevators was down the whole weekend we were there. It took over 15 minutes to get up to the breakfast at the 17th floor because of everybody trying to get there we were forced to have to use stairs multiple times to climb 17 floors, we were never told it was out we were never told we could get a discount due to that we were charged $40 a day for valet parking because there’s no self parking. Everyone was cramming in the elevators and it would stop at every floor just to close the doors to go up to the next floor and nobody could get in because it was already packed. I feel that there should have been a discount offered for the inconvenience and they never was

Depends on what's important to you

Staff were all excellent, given the circumstances, but the operations could be better. I would recommend staying here only if you don't mind the following: Breakfast - the setup felt chaotic (food was good, though). There was one chef working the omelette station, stuffed into the corner of the buffett area. The long lines made for a cramped self serve area. It was also unclear how their seating worked. Valet - while I was aware that the valet was mandatory (and expensive) , I would have expected speedier service and beefed up staffing to make up for the lack of options. Noise - it's right next to the freeway, high above sound barrier walls. Plus the walls are thin. Bring a white noise machine you'll be alright.

Great location if you're visiting your kid at UCLA. I could walk to and from campus through some beautiful neighborhoods. Although, be warned... nobody walks in LA. You'll stand out! :-)

Loved the view from the top floor restaurant and enjoyed the breakfast, especially the cooked to order omelets. Friendly staff made us feel welcome. Valet parking with unlimited vehicle access was a nice feature and worth the $40./ day. They even provided an Uber at no charge to various areas around the hotel (we used for the Getty museum and saved the parking fee). Very convenient location to access west LA, Santa Monica, Venice, Marina Del Rey, LAX, Bel Air, Beverly Hills, Malibu, Hollywood, Universal Studios and so much more.

The location and staff were amazing. The architecture is cool. This is designed to be a boutique hotel. Having said all that the elevators were broken most of the time during our stay. The hotel rooms were very small. I noticed the finishes in the hallways. Paint was chipped. Wallpaper was peeling and the wall sconces. The shades were cracked and broken. This hotel is not designed for families. I don't know why people would bring large groups of children. To a hotel like this? The mini store in the hotel was not open during our stay made things inconvenient. They also don't take cash. It is a cash free hotel.. the location can't be beat. The staff are really nice, but they seem powerless to improve things.. I asked for a room not facing the freeway and they couldn't accommodate me. Overall, the hotel is just average. It could be so much more with a little attention to detail.!

Easy access to the freeway but noisy due to cars passing by fast or honking. One of the elevator was down for the three days we were there. We had to wait over 20 mins for the elevator and then took the stairs from the 8th floor...while going down the stairs, we met 4 other guests using the staircase as they were done waiting for the elevator. Slow chk in, small rooms, bathroom doors had frosted glass through which one can easily see other people silhoutte without clothes. Ask for microwave in the room and was told "they dont have it". All the balconies were shut permanently. So no access to the balcony. Small square pillows instead of rectangle ones.

Really nice hotel overall and very good value. Two things to note: 1. Their valet parking is basically required because there’s no easy parking near the hotel. It’s $40 a day. 2. The room can be quite noisy due to it sitting right above the highway. Our room is on the highway side so it’s really loud. Try asking for a room on the other side if you can. The breakfast is very good and overall an excellent hotel.

The carpet in the room really needed shampooing and there was a lack of staffing in the restaurant for breakfast causing a lot of disappointment among the guests. Other than that, the stay was very good, the hotel conveniently located for the graduation at UCLA and the staff very friendly. I would recommend the hotel with some caveats.

Really disappointed with our stay. The room had a strange odor and was located directly on the side of the freeway—by 4am it was so loud it felt like we were sleeping on the freeway. We asked to be moved and were told no rooms were available on the quieter side, which didn’t seem accurate. Rooms are very dated and the pillows are basically throw pillows. When we requested more, it took over two hours to get them, and when I offered to go pick them up myself, I was told I couldn’t. Customer service was poor—Dominique at the front desk acted like any request was an inconvenience. We also asked for a late check-out due to the terrible sleep disruption and were told the hotel was “fully booked.” Oddly, I was able to go online and see plenty of rooms available for the same night. They advertise free breakfast but automatically tack on a mandatory gratuity, which feels deceptive. There are plenty of other hotels in the area that are newer, quieter, and better priced. Would absolutely not stay here again.
