Not a Luxury hotel room

Hotel rooms need to be renovated badly! Bathroom looked like a Comfort Inn from the early 2000. Shower head barely sprayed water. Bath tub was small and cramped because of a poorly places towel holder. Overall I would have preferred to stay at a Holiday Inn or Budget motel. At least I would have been paying for what I was getting.

I love the classic elegance and history of this hotel. The lounge access was a huge plus- both the elegant continental breakfast and the evening reception were delightful. Room was comfortable and clean. Would stay again!

The staff at the front desk made us feel unwelcome and did not give us any details about the property during check in. During check in, she did not bring up the fact that I was eligible for a room upgrade as part of my VIP Benefits. I checked about the upgrade and she gave me a room upgrade unwillingly. This is not the service I expected at such a premium hotel at all.

Wonderful stay at the Biltmore. The service was fantastic and the room was very comfortable. It could use a little updating but it fits the old world charm theme. I would book again if I was in the area.

Granted it’s an old historic property, but the hotel is not in the five-star range. Chipped paint, bathroom amenities unhinged, tiny bath accommodations, and no water glasses. The old girl is run down, and has too much deferred maintenance.
