This was my second stay at Casa de las Artes and where possible, I will use it when visiting my son and daughter-in-law in Madrid. The building is beautifully historic, the bedrooms are comfortable and clean with quirky details and the staff are all lovely. The food is excellent as well!

Great stay for a short trip

Really lovely hotel - communal areas are very pretty. I had a room in the back part of the hotel which was very quiet and very modern. Pool could do with being warmer.

The good and bad

Great service and very clean. Amazing common spaces. Fantastic breakfast made to order with wide selection of cold meats, fruits, juice and cheese. Water in spa pool could have been warmer and sauna temperature was a bit to low. Rooms were nicely decorated, but quite small and materace was on softer side.Bathroon provided very limited privacy, with sliding door through which everything can be heard. Rooms were services twice a day with afternoon service offering water and chocolate. Overall recommend.

Very clean but otherwise mediocre

I was a little disappointed with my stay at Casa de Las Artes. I found the bed to be a little bit hard. Also, as a solo traveller, I didn't feel there was much security. There was a 24 hour desk clerk but anyone could walk into the hotel. The sauna was very nice but the pool was a bit cold, and there is no hot tub. The breakfast was nice and I had a pleasant meal at the hotel restraurant one evening. I walked to the museum, so that was a perk. There is also a metro very close. My room was clean, also a perk. If you need a clean place in Madrid and the price is right for you, it's a nice place. If you're looking for extra security or luxury comfort you will likely be displeased.

We stayed one night and wish we had more time at this beautiful property. Safe, clean and stupendous staff, all so welcoming and helpful. Room was great, comfortable beds and the robs/slippers were a great way to relax after our trip. Would definitely recommend and stay here on future visits to Madrid.
