Expedia told us we had to arrive at sister property The President Hotel due to a road blockage at the Penguin. We had to drag large suitcases up several steps and down an alley to arrive at the Penguin, only to find that the street was OPEN. We could have arrived directly at the front door! EXPEDIA PLEASE UPDATE YOUR INSTRUCTIONS TO BE REAL TIME! I seriously doubt you will post this!

No frills and things are working in a room one would expect. The way out of the room is musty and needs odor control The breakfast at the patio is bad. They just pushed in some fruits, 2slices of bread and coffee and would not even greet me. Presidents hotel is good with breakfast

Great location. Well, taken care of.

I very much like this hotel. The location was perfect. I like to be in the middle of things. It was also quiet but plenty of action just outside the door. I have stayed in a lot of hotels in the art deco district. I would definitely stay here again.

The penguin hotel was a great place to stay on our stop over before our cruise. Lots of little perks such as a welcome drink and a nice breakfast at the restaurant next door. Amazing location and friendly staff. Would definitely recommend.

The hotel is situated in an ideal location, surrounded by similar accommodations on Ocean Drive and directly across the street from the beach. There are numerous stores and dining options in the vicinity. The Lincoln Rd Mall is just an 8-minute walk from the hotel. The hotel is clean and well-maintained, although somewhat small. A large mirror on the wall gives the illusion of added space. However, the bathroom is quite cramped, with the toilet positioned directly next to the door. I also wish the room included a microwave and a dresser.

The beachfront view was well worth the upgrade! The staff was extremely helpful. We were able to store our luggage until our room was ready and they made our room available hours before the check in time. The location is amazing, and the hotel well maintained, and stylish.

Great location.

Art Deco. Great location. Loud area but the window AC unit helped to white noise and did not notice it at night. Friendly staff for check in. No issues.
