From check in to check out, we had a great time at the Grand Bahia. The only area of improvement would be around alcoholic drinks. The bartenders didn't have access to mint and wasn't able to make mojito's which are my drink of choice.

We liked the variety of beachfront offerings, the snorkeling, beautiful views from almost everywhere. The staff were incredibly kind and helpful. The rooms on the luxury side could use some updating, especially additional plugs near the beds. Suggestion: bring extension cords or multi plug units.

The majority of the staff were friendly especially the concierge service. They were able to follow through on everything they were asked. We ate at the Picasso Restaurant where the service was good and the food.

The property is beautiful with snorkling spots available just off of the east side beach (Luxury side). Its about an hour drive from the airport. Restaurants were great. The property is huge with several beaches one can visit including a nude beach on the far west side. There are a lot of pools and convenient bars. We were upgraded to a nice room with a balcony and view of the ocean. Some staff were very friendly, others were not so friendly. They prefer USD and not Jamaican dollars. Our room was a little damp but they kept it clean as we asked. Room service food took a little while and was very basic items in the evening. However, the breakfast room service was great! My one main complaint was that I was given $590 room credit by expedia and the hotel refused to honor it upon checkout causing me to contact expedia and begin the process of being refunding (still pending). Overall I give it an 8/10

We had a great time, there were some minor issues that the front lobby fixed rapidly (Holly and Tory, excellent girls!). The hotel only leave you 4 cans of beers per day in the mini bar...!! The tv didn't work for 3 days (problems with the cable provider they said) but for them was not a big issue, for us was, we want to relax in our bedroom and watched some tv. The pool and beach areas lack of more comfortable seats for 60 plus old people like us, though we are in very good shape it would be nice if they have some chairs and tables so you can seat better than spreading your body over a very uncomfortable chaise lounge (for us all of them were super uncomfortable, and we did not have other sitting options). My husband sat over a small tables he tried to find everyday. The food was excellent, specially the a la carte menu, we really enjoyed it. The staff was very friendly, some grumpy characters here and there but in general super nice. The ocean is beautiful there but do not forget your water shoes, you would need them.

Safe did t work for entire stay didn’t move us to another room TV out 2 1/2 days Band playing into the night kept us awake Beds need a box spring only had mattress on wooden frame Restraunts are good. Room service really BAD! Staff has an attitude like asking my lady “are you blonde”? When asking a question TVs are like 19” Maid turns down thermostat to freezing every day Maid service inconsistent (ie sometimes clean well sometimes not. Sometimes turn down service, sometimes not. First day, knocked on door at 7:00 am, 7:30, then called at 8am……we were on vacation and wanted to sleep. They are lucky I give them 3 stars for a LUXURY hotel.

I’ll start with the good on Bahia Luxury Runaway Bay because there wasn’t a lot in this category. When we arrived, we upgraded our room to an ocean front king. It was a beautiful room with a breathtaking view! However, the food was pretty awful. There were very few dining options available to us on the adults side, unfortunately they could not get us into any of the good restaurants over four days. We met two staff members that were absolutely lovely people, they both gave such happy optimistic vibes, they were great. However, I would venture to say our experience with majority of the staff was not warm and inviting, more of a “we could care less about you enjoying your stay vibe”. I would never consider returning to the Bahia. Our weather was fantastic, the pool was terrific. We learned that we should buy big insulated cups to get a drink in something other than a shot glass. However, they sure didn’t poor them stiff, so have some booz in your room if that’s your thing. I have traveled all over the Caribbean, my girlfriend has traveled but far less in the islands. We both loved the weather and each others company, but as far as the Bahia is concerned, we would recommend looking elsewhere. Just our opinion after a five night stay. Oh, and my brand new Vuori puffer vest was stollen at the front desk while I checked in. They couldn’t have cared less, it was very surprising. I give the Bahia Luxury Runaway Bay a 4 out of 10, for weather and beauty.

First, I have zero complaints about the staff. They work hard, are friendly, and absolutely delightful. The food and drinks here were very good. We have stayed at quite a few all inclusives in the Caribbean and there are always minor inconveniences and issues. So I don’t typically complain. I do have to say this hotel has some condition issues and is in need of an update. Our friends room had water pouring out of the light fixture. Our room had a musty odor and was always either freezing or too humid. The layout is odd on the adult side. I would have probably opted to stay on the family side because it’s a little more updated and convenient to the beach and amenities. It was also really hard to get reservations in the a la carte restaurants. Overall we had a good trip. It was honestly what we expected since this was on the lower end of the price range for the area.

Loved this resort. It’s very big and allowed me to get a nice long walk in. The pool areas are nice and big. The entertainment was really good. I loved Crazy Legs. Plenty of food options. The rooms were beautiful and clean.
