Hotel is in poor condition

This must have been a very nice hotel in the 80's, but it is completely run down now. Everything seemed to be broken and in disrepair. They are finally remodeling (many years too late). The hotel was filthy, except for the main lobby. There was construction debris everywhere and we had to navigate around old, corroded, HVAC units in the hallways outside of each room under renovation (numerous). There were nails and screws on the floors everywhere. Everything in the pool area is missing paint, rusty, or corroded. The pool and hot tub have lots of mildew. The pool area is so cold, that fog forms on the water over the pool (TRULY!). The pool was warm though. There were also no towels in the pool area, so we had to freeze going to the front desk, for them to call housekeeping. We ate dinner in the restaurant from their VERY limited menu, and it was fair at best. A pretzel, two sandwiches with fries, and two alcoholic drinks were over $100, with tip. You've got to be kidding me... We stayed in a "suite" which was a joke. It was only a suite because it had two tiny rooms. Double Tree charged full price (over $200) for this shame of a hotel visit. It wasn't even worth $75 a night. Hilton needs to send an inspection crew to this property immediately. It was a disgrace and does not meet the Hilton standard in any way. I will say that the restaurant/bar staff were very pleasant, as well as the housekeeper that brought pool towels. DO NOT stay here until the construction is over!!!

Upon arrival the staff at the front desk were rude. I gave them my information and asked a few questions regarding the hotel. The guy gave an attitude with his answers, as if he hated his job. The hotel is undergoing a lot of renovations so be prepared to walk or have to drive to your room. The room was very nice and clean, so that’s a positive. I called down to the front desk for pillows the second day and it took me calling again 8 hours later for them to say they forgot, again with the attitude. The pool was by the lobby which isn’t anywhere near the guest rooms so be prepared to walk. The indoor pool area was so steamy you could hardly see, was freezing and dirty with used towels and trash laying all around the pool. The second day we were there the entire area where the rooms were smelled like weed. I complained for as I am asthmatic and was told in an email by management that it was not allowed but they can’t stop others from smoking so pretty much they ignored my complaint. The hotel was also very noisy with kids running up and down the hallways all night. Overall while the room was nice, I wouldn’t personally ever stay there again. You pay way too much to deal with attitudes from the staff and management.

It was amazing the bar the staff the cleaning crew everyone was very friendly and helpful!!! I’d stay there again. The only thing they didn’t have was an ice machine near the suits downstairs and the walk from the lobby to my room was very far and confusing. But other than that it was an amazing stay!

Great stay friendly staff

This property served its purpose, the heated pool and hot tub was the gem of this hotel that saved the stay. I gave it 4 stars only because of all the construction going on however the room was excellent clean updated the pull-out bed could use better mattress other than that and the construction I would definitely stay here again I can't wait unit it's all finished up so I can refer my family and friends customer services was great staff very helpful and nice Corey at the front desk was very helpful

Undergoing renovation. Room was nicely updated. Separate bedroom and living room. Comfortable, great staff, quiet location, nice gym facility. Only negative was shower water did not get hot enough, only lukewarm.

Someone wants a key to your room no ID required

This would have been a perfect stay. But for some reason the young guy at the front desk decided to give a key to someone for my room that wasn’t on the reservation or even authorized to get a key. I was expecting a visitor they got lost so he gave the person a key without even asking me and not only that deactivated my key when they gave this person a key. Unheard of!!! What if I wasn’t there and they stole my stuff? Anyone can say they need a key and no one checks to see if it’s ok?? Insane. If you value privacy stay away from this place at all costs

While the staff at the hotel was extremely nice. At check in I asked several questions that they were not able to answer. I asked for a room upgrade and was told that all the rooms were the exact same. We were traveling with our grandchildren and needed to use the pullout sofa, which was heavily soiled and extremely uncomfortable. Lastly, the depicted hotel online does not mimic what I saw. Grateful that my family was able to adjust and adapt.
