The hotel is generally good. Nice pool and lounge area facing the ocean. The staff were polite and helpful. Breakfast was satisfactory. The room was generally ok. The room safe was broken, no hairdryer or iron ( got one from staff) and the adjoining room door was unlocked when checking in but should have been locked. Otherwise nice spot.

The Strand needs some general updating. Our room had faded wallpaper, cracked tiles, a popcorn ceiling that was raining on the floor each evening and an AC unit that did not work. On the positive side we had a great view of the ocean and the lounging area by the beach was awesome. The breakfast every morning was great, also.

Broken refrigerator Very poor breakfast option - not even wheat bread, hot water not available most of the time, no hot milk for oatmeal, breakfast food ran out. Just two very slow elevators for a 21 floor building ! Service elevator not working meant the cleaners had to take their carts up and down between floors further slowing down the use of elevators

Our room needed updating, the bathroom looked worn out, and the AC unit was very loud! It was tough to sleep through the noise. Additional seating is required near the pool area, and maybe beach chairs. However, the breakfast was adequate, and the bar and bartender were great! We will look at other hotels when we return to Myrtle Beach.

Great ocean front stay

I stay at the strand boutique hotel resort was nice. Check-in was good. Parking was free and across the street. There were 15 minute parking at the front so you can bring in your luggage which was nice. Front desk staff Cherease was really friendly. Only concern is the loud noise, possibly from the elevator a buzzing humming sound that went most of the evening. Ocean front room with the balcony excellent the room was nice. Complementary breakfast was good too.

Our room was very spacious. The views were fabulous! We enjoyed the pool, the hot tub, the lounging area, the private access to the beach (that was clean!), and all the staff was wonderful! The food from the kitchen was great and reasonably priced and breakfast was free! I like that our room key was a bracelet that once we put them on, didn't come off until we were leaving. Our room had a kitchen with a full size refrigerator, washer and dryer, dishwasher, the basic dinnerware (plates, glasses, silverware, etc.) The parking area was clean and we felt safe anytime we were at our vehicle. Great stay! We will be coming back soon!

Great location

the parking lot being across the street is a small inconvenient. The furniture is a little old, and i hate to see a cart with dirty towels in front of my room (because it was in front of the office. The elevators might get really busy, so its better to count with at least 10minutes trip to move in the hotel. The location is amazing and the front desk staff was very friendly and knowledgeable.

Staff were professional. our room was clean and had a nice view of the ocean. We had access to the beach from the property. Served good breakfast from 6-10. Parking was across the street from the building and the hallways and rooms could use some updating. Place was good value for the money.
