Everything didn’t work in my room. I booked a city view and got a view of a parking garage on the other side of our window. I went downstairs and the front desk lady said, “that’s considered a city view.” The waterfall shower didn’t work, the water didn’t get hot, and our A/c didn’t work. So, overall, I would never recommend this place again.

Unfortunately, my stay at the AC Hotel by Marriott in the Orleans French Quarter was disappointing from start to finish. The receptionist was dismissive and condescending, even questioning why I was visiting New Orleans—despite me being a local. The interaction felt unnecessary and uncomfortable. I was then assigned a tiny corner room with a bathroom so small it was barely functional. As a plus-size guest, navigating the space—especially the shower—was extremely difficult. There were also noticeable cracks in the flooring from the bathroom into the main room, which made the hotel feel poorly maintained and unsafe. Given the price point and brand reputation, this experience fell far below expectations.

All staff were amazing! From welcoming smile, to giving us to try moon pies for the first time, and then accommodating our flight delay and providing us with late check out, that we are very thankful. The rooms are a little outdated, but the rest of amenities and especially the front desk staff were outstanding!

First, the staff at this hotel was fabulous. Very attentive to our needs. The rooms were very clean and modern. The location is fantastic. Central to transportation and restaurants. The only thing I was missing was a nice comfy chair in the room to sit in, instead of sitting on the bed.
