It was a beautiful hotel. But, our window view was of burnt wood and bags of trash. Could've been construction trash. Not sure. I opened the curtains and immediately closed it. Not a sight to be looking at. There was a terrible loud noise that sounded like someone was vacuuming all night long. It was annoying. But the check in staff was great and the location was great.

The hotel is nice and great local to walk around. They have valet parking which is a must since the area has very limited parking. Valet is an extra charge $50 a day. However, management does not do well with addressing issues. This is probably due to the high volume of people there. Overall, a good hotel and a great city.

The property double charged me for insidentals as well as double booked one of our rooms. One toilet didn’t work and the sink didn’t work as well. I usually always stay here for Mardi Gras’s but I will no longer hook this place.

The stay was great I liked the area and the scenery and good being my first time in New Orleans. The only thing I didn’t like was that the bed frame was too big for the mattress and I hit my leg on the railing as I walked around the bed and I was unaware that I needed extra money to check in because the young lady I spoke with prior to the trip said that I didn’t need anything extra other than my identification.

Any time we visit New Orleans Crowne Plaza is our spot to stay. We normally enjoy and can’t wait to be back. This time around was a little different started off with no Valet parking we understand that it may had been a little more packed then usual but no kind of effort on giving us a time frame on when it would be available. We were instructed to do self parking 4-6 blocks away from the hotel. Only one Elevator was working on the Alexa tower And it took a good 5 minutes.

The beds were soooo hard and very uncomfortable, and loud. The room had a FUNK, they put us on a floor of young teens on their prom night!! Let’s just say we woke up to ketchup outside our door, followed by drinks and trash all over the elevator waiting area. Will never book there again!

For a IHG property I thought the Astor was very overpriced, very much in need of upgrading, maintenance was poor, toilet continually ran & also leaked. It was a convenient location but really was a totally average hotel for the money it cost us
