The great thing about staying here is the location. You are in the flower districts so there’s always movement and beautiful flowers to see and smell every time you walk out of the hotel. You have a subway station on the same block for the 1 train and approximately two blocks away the R train. Unfortunately the experience inside the hotel is different. The check in process was not smooth we had to wait a rather long time for someone to appear in the front desk and there wasn’t much of an apology or a accommodation offered to compensate for this event. The pone in the room wasn’t working to call front desk and whenever you would call you were not met with a friendly or courteous manner. I want to point out who were the employees who were an exception. The employees who attended the dinning area, the kitchen and housekeeping always met you with a smile and great hospitality. Other things to consider, the rooms don’t have a safe, one of the main entrance doors was not working and one of the elevators got stuck while we’re staying.

We were disappointed with this hotel the pictures are deceiving and not at all what you get, main lobby is small and dirty and the bathrooms are in the basement, the room had mattresses that were like 50 years old no support, old bedding , bathroom was honestly the worst I have seen, mold, peeling paint, dirty water don’t recommend.

First let me say the staff were friendly and made good efforts to be helpful. But the room was not so hot. Maybe it’s because I got a good deal on Expedia, but I was stuck on a second floor room facing the street. And every night between 11 and 1 garbage trucks came by and made a big ruckus. When I checked in to the hotel I asked for an upper level room, but that was not to be. I asked for a different room after the second night and the hotel told me how that might be possible, but the next morning I got tied up with helping someone and couldn’t pack up in time. Also, the room had no overhead lights and lighting was poor. I kept the entrance light by the door and the bathroom lights on to help. One light by the nightstand was not working. The freezer in the fridge was so over-iced it could not be opened for use. No safe in the room. Overall decor was dated. Sure hope the upper floors were more accommodating.
