I rarely leave reviews, but this hotel experience was so frustrating I feel I have to. If I could give zero stars, I would.
When my husband and I arrived, we discovered the hotel was under major construction — something never disclosed when booking. Dust was everywhere, and the front desk had been moved to the lower level. At 2 p.m., the line for check-in was already long with only two staff working. After a 15-minute wait, the receptionist said no rooms were ready (understandable since we were early) but promised one within 20–30 minutes and that they’d call. We chose to leave our bags and go explore, only to be charged $6 per item — even for backpacks. I’ve stayed at Hilton, Hyatt, and others, and never been charged luggage fees as a paying guest.
When we returned at 4 p.m., no call had come, phones weren’t answered, and the line was worse. After waiting nearly an hour, we were told again no room was ready. Returning at 11 p.m., the line was still long, and staff ignored us until a large airline crew arrived and were helped immediately. We finally got a key, only to find a tiny, outdated room. On top of that, there’s a $35 daily fee you can “use” for food, but with $8 water bottles and long café lines, it’s worthless.
Overall: poor disclosure, understaffed, endless waits, hidden fees, and subpar rooms. Easily one of my worst hotel stays — I would never return or recommend it.
