The rooms were quite spacious for a hotel in that area. There was major construction going on and almost all areas were curtained off and redirected. Just not fun to enter or navigate. There was no mention of major renovations when I booked which was disappointing. All staff however were exceptionally friendly, which was amazing.

Our stay was in August 2025 and there had been no previous warning that the hotel was under renovation. There was only 1 elevator available to go to the 22nd floor, and it was a service elevator. Once, we waited 20 minutes, which is no good if you are trying to get to the theatre. The check in area was a wreck. Guests are forced to pay a "Destination fee" of $35/day. If guests do not use it at the hotel restaurant, it gets forfeited. Luckily, Whitney, a manager, was kind and helpful. Most importantly, our room was clean (except for an empty water bottle I found on the floor).

Scary and Nasty

Well, it’s a good place if you love to see the core of NY. Easy to walk by. But comfortability NO. They were under renovation with my 80+years parents it’s pain .We changed room , it’s bad water is flowing all over the place . So scary for my oldies . The first elevator to our first room so NASTY , we’re using the back room . Laundry area CART is in our way with our folded scooter won’t even fit us . I booked another room since my sister that live in Bronx decided to stay with us , didn’t find any adjacent but it says they have . I just hope they put in the website . I never even enjoy their lobby :( or lounge .

Property is under construction. Staff were not helpful in finding front desk for check in which was located in the very back downstairs and nowhere near the entrance. They give you a 35 per day room credit but failed to explain that it had to be used daily or you lost it (the day you get there counts but not the day you check out) And the credit could only be used at the Starbucks or library in the hotel, but not the gift shop. If you want breakfast at the Starbucks in the hotel expect a crazy wait. Room was large and clean. Bed was comfortable.

I was so saddened by the fact that the hotel was under renovation! I was not told this when booking. The guests had to use freight elevators. Waiting up to 20 minutes for an elevator to arrive. I’m so upset with Expedia. Such poor service! Shame on you for not advising me prior to booking!
