Hotel is under renovation so things are not running very smoothly now. Lobby is crowded, lines by the elevator, lines to check in, restaurant is crowded with lines for breakfast. Would wait to stay there until after renovations are finished.

Staff unfriendly. Charge a “destination fee” that you must use $35 credit each day, if you don’t use it each day it does not transfer to the next day…..you lose it. No one explained policy and lost the daily credit since it needs to be used at bar. Door to hotel room broke and would not open more than a sliver. Made it difficult to get suitcases through. Unreasonably loud, security had to be called after midnight. Sounded like a big brawl on our floor. Under construction.

Very good location, close to metro. Room was good size (for NY standards) with comfortable bed. There were renovations going on so lobby was quite crowded at times. Also, my room on 12th floor was a bit noisy from 7th ave daily life.

4 hours late check in. While we were offered another room for immediate check in, we wanted the 2 linked rooms. They said the 2nd room would be ready within 30 mins and it wasn’t. Not only that, but it was given to us for at least 4 hours despite being told it would only be 30 mins.
