Room was spotless, nicely renovated and reasonably updated bathroom. The walk-in shower was well done/higher end touch but the water pressure/volume is disappointing and the sink is abnormally low, but these were minor quibbles. My only major objection here is the outrageous $40 per day “resort fee” which covers one water bottle per guest/day, in-room internet, free local calls (in the age of cell phone ubiquity this seems particularly silly). Just an excuse to jack up what seems to be a very reasonable rate for NYC and this particular neighborhood. Given the great location, pleasant room, good professional service and excellent daily housekeeping, it takes some of the sting off the resort fee charge and I still definitely recommend this place.

It was great! Spacious, clean, the updates were lovely. I especially appreciated the triple-paned windows keeping out the city noise. The staff was friendly and professional. It was a wonderful place to stay, with all the amenities you'd expect from a 4-star hotel. Our room even had a separate bidet.

This was my first trip to New York, and it was amazing. The hotel’s location is excellent — right in the city center and very close to the main attractions. The staff were very friendly and knowledgeable, especially the doorman/concierge at the entrance. The room is small but clean and nicely furnished. The view from our window was stunning — a beautiful sunrise and an equally beautiful city at night. If I come here again, I would happily stay at this hotel. Highly recommended.

We had a wonderful time staying at this good value hotel. The room and bathroom were well looked after. The reception staff and doormen were all very helpful and friendly. Room had a slightly dated aesthetic but this didn't subtract anything from the overall experience. It was easy to get cabs or take the nearby subway from this hotel as well.
