Would Stay Here Again

The room was small but very clean and was just right for one person. Had a bathroom and small refrigerator and internet connection. The staff was friendly. Most importantly it was almost right next to the Shin-Osaka Station.

Frustrating stay

Really awkward location, hard to navigate tunnel system with limited signage to get to the other side of the road. Only one pillow provided in an old, dingy, depressing room. Door didn't close all the way if you just let it close, which caused a loud alarm to go off unexpectedly.

Excellent value for money. Convenient location.

Nice hotel, not too big or too small. Clean room. Good staff who were helpful. The location is good as it is close to Shin Osaka train station and is easy to find, so if you are travelling around Japan it is very well placed. Very comfy bed too. This was the cheapest hotel I have used in Japan but the quality was just as good as any other.

Very close to subway/railway station, a plus point. Check in time was 3pm and check out time was 10am, which is slightly negative point. I had to pay 1000 JPY for not leaving before 10am. It is too early for check out time compared to other places/countries. Room was small as not enough space for baggage, a slightly negative point. Washroom size was not bad (just fine) and Bed was comfortable. Staff was nice and capable of speaking english, definitely a plus point.

Good staff terrible rooms

Staff were nice but the room was very badly laid out and cramped with facilities piled on top of the tiny desk shelf so there was no room to put our stuff. It would have been impossible if we had of had our big luggage bags to get into the room. We were supposed to stay two nights but left after one night due to it being so uncomfortable and not being able to sleep in the room. Also we were told to take our belongings especially our valuables out of the room while they cleaned the room as if the cleaners could not be trusted with guests belongings.

Nice and comfortable hotel

We had our wonderful stay at step inn shin-osaka. Staff is friendly, they lend us umbrella when we go out and theres laundry service at ground floor. Location is close to shin-osaka station, around 5 minutes walk. If you planning on travelling to kyoto,okayama or kobe, its better to stay around shin-osaka station.
