We chose this location specifically for the amenities. After several days of hiking we wanted to relax in a hot tub and do some laundry. When we got there, half of the building had water damage. The hot tub was out of order. Elevators were not working. One of the two washing machines appeared full of mold and the other was visibly dirty. We asked for supplies to clean out the debris of the non moldy machine prior to using. Dryers were clean. In our room, there was leftover food in the fridge. Mattress was very hard and uncomfortable. Otherwise the room itself was sufficient. The receptionist at checkin was as helpful as she could be given the state of the property, but she was very kind.

The hotels breakfast was a good boost in the morning. The bed was very comfortable! The staff was nice, well located close to wildlife out of africa reserve. Laundry was a big plus, and was very affordable (1$ each cycle). Pool was unavailable at our time. Check in was flexible even when we arrived earlier.

Awful Hotel

The hotel seemed very old and barely maintained.Here's a few examples. The pool was drained and broken.The hot tub was drained and broken. The elevator was broken. The lumpy mattress looks like it's fifteen years old. The pillows about the same. The internet was broken.It had an invalid security certificate, also unable to support basic access safely. The window in the room was clouded and dirty. The seal was broken. When the wind blows it would make a whistling noise. The fire alarm went off 2 times between 2-4 a.m.

I arrived tired and road weary. The desk clerk checked me in, and THEN told me that my room was on the 3rd floor and the ELEVATOR was broken. WHAT?! Then, as I was walking down the hallway, I looked outside and saw that their POOL was EMPTY--DRY. I said, Oh no you don't. They had to cancel my reservation with no penalty. I wouldn't even think of staying there in the future.

Elevator issues

Everything was good EXCEPT the elevator is not working and we were put on 3rd floor …. For older people and people with mobility difficulties they should be made aware of this issue PRIOR to checking in and offered main floor if possible or they could make an informed decision to go elsewhere . We were offered assistance with the luggage BUT the people still need to get to the room as well. Elevators NEED to be in working order .
