Our chicken was very quick, but not thorough. We didn’t get a map of the property, an explanation of parking, or and purpose of orange wristbands we were given. We did, however, thoroughly enjoy our stay at the hotel. It has a relaxed, family atmosphere. The service in the dining rooms was not very efficient, nor was the food was great, but the atmosphere made up for it. We enjoyed the local entertainment on Friday and Saturday night. Would come again.

Didn’t get the room level we paid for and staff seemed shady about trying to switch us the next day, saying both times they “just gave the last one away 30 minutes prior.” Housekeeping didn’t replenish all types of towels so went without washcloths for days. Shower was handicap accessible but only the sprayer worked, not the shower head. Room was filled with moths every day. Other staff throughout facility were friendly. Bar and grill took 2 hours to get food, likely due to room service orders. Food was great tho!

Overall all I can say is that I am really glad we ended up renting a car, because had we not done that the trip would have been ruined! The hotel is outdated, there are multiple areas where things are in need of repair, remediation, or renovation. Reception - the area can be crowded when checking in, there is a lot of information that is not provided to you such as food options, activities, how to get to where you need to go, etc. Food - the choices are minimal. You’ll probably have a better breakfast at a motel in the States than you will here. There’s a $27 per person fee for breakfast. You’ll wish you went to a diner instead once you have the experience. La Cava - the onsite restaurant has a limited menu the food was atrocious at best. They do have a massive wine list, but none are available by the glass. If you do order a glass of wine, expect cheap tasting wine, and you won’t get to see the bottle it came from. The bar - there’s no standard. A house margarita is made differently by each bartender and varies throughout the day. The bar food menu is limited at best. Now for the amenties - The pool - it’s small, gets crowded quickly, and it’s likely because it’s one of the only things to do. The beach - Non-existent. The hotel does have a concrete slab poured on the beach with 4 beach chairs set up, but the sand is black, smells like fish, and the water isn’t the crystal blue like you’d think. The only saving grace - the staff. Everyone is kind, and informative.
