Great location with easy access to Riverwalk. Room was spacious with nice shower. Great terrace bar/lounge with nice view. Staff was very helpful during our stay. Only get a cooler drawer instead of actual fridge. No store or vending for drinks or snacks but options are close by.

The hotel room was hot, no adjustments to the thermostat made a difference. The hotel restaurant is overpriced for mediocre food. The "nice city views" as advertised were not so nice. It looked way better in the photos. We asked for a fan since the room was so hot, they said of course we will bring it up. So we went back to the room to wait for the fan, only to receive a call about 20 minutes later saying they do not have anymore fans. We were going to go hang out at the bar (which was part of why we chose this hotel) only to be turned away as they rented it out to a private party. We ultimately ended up leaving early. The ice machines on our floor were broken, the water fill station took forever to even dispense a glass of water. For the price paid for this hotel, I expected way better. The valet parking is kind of expensive for what it is too. There is no garage at the hotel, they drive your car to a public parking lot.

This hotel was fine. A few things to know: 1. We arrived 30 minutes prior to check in, advised our room was ready but would be charged around $30 for the 30 minutes. 2. There is no service elevator. We felt bad for employees trying to work while hauling large containers of produce or laundry. Hence elevator wait times can be very long. 3. When we first exited the elevator on our floor, I thought it was still under construction due to the bare concrete walls. Our room was fine but no carpet, a rug by the bed and concrete (slightly polished) floors everywhere else. Was ok but definitely not a welcoming entrance to the room. Our view was wonderful ( better views 12th floor & higher. 4. A great shower 5, Upon arrival, we were offered a cold water bottle or a cold adult beverage at check in. Nice touch. We enjoyed the beverage. 6. The bar on the third floor was wonderful and offered tasty appetizers.

Everyone’s service was excellent from valet, to front the desk, waiters and waitresses. We enjoyed the ambiance of the hotel, the bar on the 3rd floor and the restaurant on the lower level of the Riverwalk. There is plenty to do within walking distance. Just be prepared for the heat… lol. Besides that, we had a great time and stay here.

Booked a hotel for double queen. When I got there. They said they didn’t have anymore and the only reason why the website allowed me to book is because there was one room that the manager had blocked off but the website thinks it was available. They ended giving it to me. Once I got to the room. The toilet had poop stains, hair in the sink and hair on the pillow cases. Don’t think the room was cleaned properly. I called front desk and they said they could give me two king rooms but they are not connected. I was with my husband and two kids. It was a huge inconvenience. We came to have a family weekend and it was such a disappointment. Definitely will not stay here again. Dirty bathroom and pillow cases unacceptable.

I had a profoundly disappointing SHORT stay at the Canopy where I originally booked a 4-night visit to San Antonio for a family graduation. I am Active duty military and had to travel later than intended and Despite prepaying for my room for the 4-night stay, upon arrival the next day, I was charged an additional $50 early check-in fee due to a no-show status, which I felt was unfair and unnecessary since I had already paid in advance. The room itself did not meet my expectations, especially when compared to other hotels I have stayed at in the area. Frustrated with the situation, I decided to leave and sought a refund, but the hotel staff, including the manager, showed a lack of compassion and refused to issue any refund, only offering to waive the early check-in fee. Apparently the way I booked caused the room to be non-refundable, BUT we all know hotels have enough money to issue a refund IF they want. Overall, I felt unwelcome and dissatisfied with the service, leading to a strong resolve never to return to the Canopy on the San Antonio Riverwalk.
