We had our family of 6 on vacation for 7 days here. This place is awesome, very clean and the staff is so friendly. As with any vacation spot it is very expensive to eat at the restaurants but the food was well worth it. I would highly recommend staying here, especially if you have children. Top notch establishment in my book.

First the good. The grounds are well maintained and the complex is beautiful. We like walking so didn’t mind the long walks to get everywhere. The beach area is gorgeous but small. Great for walking but not so much swimming as there was a lot of seaweed. We did not eat at any restaurants or use any facilities but the reviews were poor except for nectar. If you want to eat there you must book days in advance. The rooms are nice and for the most part clean. The few things that annoyed me were the pricing and the check in and check out. Check in was quick but they took a 500 dollar deposit for damages or anything you spend during stay. I got two pina coladas charged to the room and that’s it for 5 nights. Total was 257. They charge a daily resort fee as well as 16 dollars per day to park if you bring a vehicle. They also charge tips on anything and only certain employees let you know this so be aware of that, the 2 drinks were over 30 dollars. The workers drive recklessly on carts all day full speed and I saw them almost take a person out twice lol. They also will never offer you a ride even when carrying 5 bags between two people to check out. Check out is a mess. It took an hour for me to see an employee to check out and there was one person ahead of me. The problem is that people get huge bills at the end of their stay and are unaware of parking, resort fees, and anything else with only two employees working the check out. Location sucks too, Airbnb next

Cons: Food was not good and over priced. We ended up getting our meals off the resort due to poor quality of food on the resort. Reservations for resort restaurants were pretty much inaccessible our entire trip. Limited fruit options available during breakfast which is crazy because PR has a wide variety of locally farmed fruits. We were told we could call for a trolley service but the golf carts never came after we called. We didn’t mind walking, but were disappointed that a service was offered with no follow through. There was trash and waste all over the beach. My wife and I spent our mornings and afternoons picking up waste before laying down to enjoy the beach. We could NOT hear the Coquí at night which was exceptionally devastating and upsetting. We had to go off the resort.The entire point of us going to PR was to enjoy the island. We were given drink vouchers, but then when we went to cash in, the bartender told us we could only get rum punch… I just wanted a Coke. Last year there were no stipulations/limitations on the drink vouchers. Kind of annoying. They should explain when giving them out what they can actually be redeemed for. Pros: housekeeping was great. Our house keeper was top notch and made sure we had everything we needed. Rooms were clean. Ocean was close to our ocean front suite. That’s about it. Pretty disappointed in the decline of this place. We visited in April 2024 and loved it. This time, not so much. Not sure we will ever be back.

The Hyatt Reserve is a beautiful resort that needs a lot of upgrades, power washing and maintenance. The staff is absolutely horrible. They are non responsive, not friendly and if you speak English forget about it. They act like they can’t comprehend. The property is very large and you have to get around on a golf cart. GOOD LUCK WITH THAT! The golf carts seem like there are plenty but most of those ppl are those that work on property. I made several complaints and nothing could be done without the manager Tatiana who was only available the day I checked out. The pool was disgusting and I never saw them clean it. Around the entrances of the pool it looked like caked up vomit. The breakfast was delicious. The other food, not so good. This property was far away from the city. Cabs were $85 to get into the city. Bellmen for what? They couldn’t call cabs in the evening. Luxury shouldn’t be anywhere in their description. Highly disappointed. And to think, this was for my birthday. I’m going somewhere else in a few days to experience the luxury I Desired. I would not recommend this property until they get it together . They need training and ppl to maintain the property. The rooms 10/10. Huge and the best thing was the amount of space we had. Balcony so high, we couldn’t see anything when we sat down. Smh
