Minimal, mediocre motel

Clean on the outside but outdated and minimal inside. Beds old, frameless and uncomfortable. Microwave on bathroom counter, breakfast consisted of packaged muffin and cold cereal. Location was excellent and parking was easy. Expensive for what barely qualifies as a model.

Cozy hotel tucked into a nice area of slo. Staff are so friendly here and when we needed to cancel a night due to our car breaking down staff were very accommodating and kind about the situation. I would definitely stay here again!

The front desk guy was super polite and helpful. The room was clean but it smelled like all the cleaning chemicals the whole night through the morning. The sheets smelled like they were left in the washer over night and then taken out. The bed is super hard and noisy.

Beds are not comfortable, pillows are too thick and hard, neck hurt. Chairs uncomfortable, shower heads are ridiculous, way too big for showers. Old furniture thrown outside in the side yard (pool furniture and room furniture). Lady at front desk could have been a bit more pleasant at check in, maybe smile. Very clean inside room and outside and pool was very clean. NO safety equipment in the pool area.

First & foremost the night receptionist is AWESOME!! I didn’t get her name, but she had short brunette hair and wore glasses. She was very patient, kind and professional. We had an issue with the original room that was booked, but she was quick to assist us with another room suitable for my family and I. We reserved a room with 2 queen beds, the room we ended up with was clean, but was smaller than we pictured it to be. Small space with furniture so close to each other. The room was missing trash bins too, which was very odd.

I was in SLO for a family wedding. Check in was easy, the room was clean, the bed was comfortable. The pool was clean, the water was the perfect temperature for cooling off on a hot day. There were beach balls, inner tubes and pool noodles to use. The breakfast was your typical hotel breakfast scrambled eggs, sausage,waffles, cereal, which was fine. Would stay here again if I were to go back to SLO.

I really appreciated the cleanliness of the room and enjoyed the breakfast before heading off for the rest of the trip. Unfortunately there was a strong smell of smoke in the room because of a previous guest. The staff looked disappointed that the room still smelled like cigarettes and apologized for not being able to change our room due to the property being sold out for the night. They did their best to filter the smell out while we went to dinner and it did help. But the smell of as in the bathroom walls and I don’t know if they have tried to wipe them down yet. It was disappointing to have that affect things since the property is very pretty, the staff are friendly, and the breakfast is good.

Make sure you ask if the AC works

Check-in was great, very nice young man. Our room didn’t have working AC and the front desk girl nor the manager cared. Their solution was a fan that would take 4-6 hours to get to us. The repair man was 30 minutes away at their other property but they wouldn’t bring him to our location. It was horrible, we didn’t sleep the first night, the fan helped the second but their behavior and treatment of us was unacceptable.
