The room was clean. The kitchen was adequate. Everything was the cheapest, ugliest that could be used! 2 different color floors in the room. Very loud refrigerator and bathroom fan! TV pictures fuzzy, blurry. 1st person was brusque and unwelcoming, but the other people I saw were friendly and helpful. Large parking lot. Coffee was drinkable and "continental breakfast" consisted of packaged danishes. It has the potential to be a very charming inn, but someone needs to make it good. Currently it isn't!

Very friendly and welcoming staff, super easy check-in, safe parking. The only drawback was not having such a great night’s sleep, entirely due to a very unhappy and ridiculously dramatic couple, located either outside or below my room, who argued into the wee hours of the morning!

In the orbitz info for the Colonial Inn, it stated that it was seven minutes from Brown University. This is why we chose this hotel. When we checked in, the receptionist, who lectures at multiple colleges, told us that no matter which direction she is traveling in, it usually takes three or four times the amount of time to get to any destination that it should take because traffic is ALWAYS heavy. I'm so glad that she warned us. The "seven minute" trip took us 35 minutes. Had we not been warned, we would have missed our appointment at Brown. Our other concern was the paper thin adjoining door through which we could hear every word of the conversations of the the people in the next room. Every other aspect of this hotel was ideal. The person who checked us in, was working there only part time. She was a lovely physician/virologist who was very helpful with info regarding the traffic, places to eat, location of ice machine, and even let me pick her brain for REAL science based vaccine info.

I was very disappointed. I went to the office and saw the manager when I checked out. The drawers were not wiped out, the desk chair was horrible, there was hair on the wall in the bathroom along with overspray of cleanser on the toilet and mold on the bathtub ceiling. TV was very small. Towels were very skimpy. Manager was a little sarcastic and never even offered to give a discount. Will not be going back there.

Stayed at the Colonial Inn in Seekonk, MA during a trip to Providence, RI, Newport, RI and Fall River, MA, this location was very convenient to all 3 locations, Motel room was clean, had all the conveniences of home, it was bright and newly redecorated, quiet and had easy parking. Price point was great for the value! Highly recommend.

We attended a great concert (America!) in Providence on Sat night at the PPAC, and we needed a place to stay just outside the city. We chose the Colonial Inn, and we WILL be back! Upon check-in, we were welcomed by David, the manager. He could not have been more professional, friendly, and helpful! The room was immaculate and, it appeared to us, newly renovated, complete with a fridge and microwave. The PPAC was a mere 15ish minute drive away, and we quickly got into Providence. The property was very neat and clean and QUIET . . . we got a great night’s sleep after the concert. At checkout, we met the sweet and lovely Kudi who was working the front desk. The takeaway: this is a wonderful place to stay!
