I had an excellent stay at HĂŽtel Esplanade the first week of December for the Christmas Markets. The hotel was very conveniently located near a tram stop so that it was fast and easy to get down to the city center. More than that, it was a warm and quiet refuge to recover for the evening and at the end of the night. The staff was very helpful and friendly. There were two bars, two coffee shops, and a convenience store all within short walking distance. Would highly recommend!

Convenient hotel with reasonable rates

The hotel was conveniently located to the university, just a minute or two from the Observatoire tram stop (direct connection C tram from the Gare Centrale train station). While no hot food, the breakfast buffet was full and fresh and good value, the room with panoramic windows had good light and outside air control, and tram sound was minimal with the windows closed. Bed comfort was average, just one chair to sit on with the desk. Everything was clean and all the personnel were exceptionally attentive, friendly and obliging. Luggage was readily stored before check-in time and after check-out. We were pleasantly surprised for the reasonable rate that there was nothing to complain about, so would not hesitate to recommend this hotel for visitors to Strasbourg. Although you do need tram or bus transportation to get to the center, major tourist attractions are not too far away,

A l'arrivĂ©e je dĂ©couvre une taxe sĂ©jour Ă  rĂ©gler en espĂšces en plus de ma rĂ©servation dĂ©jĂ  rĂ©glĂ©e. On ne m'informe pas de la prĂ©sence d'un ascenseur et on ne me donne pas de code wifi. La chambre est vĂ©tuste, une prise sortie du mur, l'ampoule au dessus du lit chauffe trĂšs vite, le sol est par endroit mouvant, les lits grincent. Impossible d'ouvrir les fenĂȘtres car dĂ©jĂ  fermĂ©es le bruit de la rue et des trams est insupportable, pas de boules Quies Ă  l'accueil. Le linge est propre mais les serviettes sont trouĂ©es. Rien dans la salle de bain Ă  part deux rouleaux de papier toilete. Aucun echantillon de savon ou shampoing. Vraiment déçue.

Le paradoxe dans tout ses Ă©tats.

HÎtel trÚs joli.certainement art nouveau.tres belle fresques murales ainsi que divers tableaux. Par ailleurs chauffage dans les chambres alors que le jour nous avons 30 degrés et la nuit 15.Ce qui explique la note environnementale.

Un séjour un peu inconforme

Le lieu est bien placé, mais les chambres n'ont pas double vitrage dont on entend tout le bruit à l'extérieur comme : les différents tramways, les voitures, les étudiants, tout. Attention avec l'eau chaude, les SDB ont des douches avec de l'eau trÚs trÚs chaude. Le personnel est sympa et agréable.
