Great architecture- needs refurbishing

Love the architecture of the building and location. However, the rooms are now very tired and it does not feel looked after. For example: shower curtain not big enough, floods to rooms. Wrong toilet seat on toilet, stains on bed valance, lampshade falling off, bathroom in first room not cleaned (had previous guests stuff on bath, etc. Reception team friendly and welcoming.

Location was central for our visit, breakfast at hotel was poor, selection of one item from poor menu, fruit selection was like the fruit shop, full fruits, no presentation. Avocado on toast is cafe food not for 5star hotel.

Staying at this hotel was an overall terrible experience. Parking directions were unclear. Ended up waiting for Valet service for 30 minutes, other parking options were not available. Upon arrival the front desk attendant was one of the most rude, disrespectful human beings I have ever met. The hotel space was dirty and dated and not a place I would ever recommend or stay again.

Initially seemed to have a sort of wow factor but sadly was ‘rusty’ at the edges. The lifts were extremely slow up to the top floor. I had a split level room which was a great amount of space however everything was slightly ‘worn’. Little things were missing like there was no toilet paper on the holder when I arrived. The small vanity packs were left by the sink and you can tell they had got wet and dried a million times. The bath was chipped and stained so although clean looked dirty. The aircon in the room was located downstairs and was unable to be turned off fully for some reason. There was also no way to turn the downstairs lights off upstairs. The paint around the tea and coffee facilities was also worn so looked dirty. I didn’t use any of the facilities so couldn’t comment on the dining or pool. The hotel looks fun and does seem to have a good vibe and the staff were friendly.
