Breakfast was amazing! It was a blend of Japanese and Western style breakfast and everything tasted great, definitely worth the extra money. Very convenient location near the train and bus station and easy walk to tourist attractions. The onsen was clean and very relaxing.

Wat hotel adequate, but breakfast, while diverse is somewhat crowded. Rooms divide bathroom facilities into 3 separate parts which is a bit cramped and awkward, especially sink in the hall way. The location is a bit hard to find and mildly off the center. But everything is more than adequate.

Amazing hotel. I think we lucked out with the private baths as we got one every night, but they were incredible. The welcome drink was a nice touch. Rooms were big for Japan and a very comfortable bed. Only downside was the smoking room in the lobby at the elevator that made the elevators smell of smoke all the time.

Fine place to stay

Hotel was more western in some ways than many we stayed at. Little things were strange such as the exposed plumbing under sink that was supposed to look fancy or shower head that sprayed almost horizontal and could not be adjusted for people of different heights. All the employees seemed more proficient at English than many other places, but they did not seem more helpful in anyway.

Really enjoyed this hotel and onsen

Really enjoyed our stay at this hotel. The Onsen is great (preferred the gender-separated onsen, as there is more space and more options than the family tub). The breakfast is a bit hectic as you need to queue, but I enjoyed the food selection. The location is pretty good for everything in town. Overall, we had a great stay here in Takayama.

We stayed in a standard double room with a queen size bed, room is spacious, modern and clean. Toilet is in a separate room, the shower/tub is in a good size room; both are clean. Hotel offers private spa based on availability which is nice for couples and young families. 10 minutes walk to Takayama JR station and 15 minutes walk to the old town.

It is a very nice hotel. It is worth the money. The breakfast buffet is superb The hot spring is so nice I will definitely stay in this hotel when i visit takayama again Highly recommended!

The hotel offers covered and open car park. We were lucky that covered car park lots were still available when we arrived, as it was snowing very heavily. Location wise, it is near to the old street, which is quiet when the sun began to go down.
