When we first arrived, we were frustrated that police cars were blocking off the road to get to the hotel due to a large event near by with hundreds or thousands of college aged people all around… we turned around and tried to get in another way then came back and was not blocked off…we tried to get a parking spot but was full and the security guard showed us an overflow parking lot which Was good… but

Parking and security situation was completely unacceptable. I am handicapped. There was only one open handicap spot. The rest were filled with cars that did not have proper handicap authorization. The security guard instructed my wife to park across the street when there was an empty slot next to him. None of the security performed any security task other than making sure that we had paid to stay in the parking lot. The security and traffic management of the people around the hotel which poor. It did not feel safe in the parking lot or surrounding the building after dark.

The property is convenient for Florida State University. There was a lot of construction at the time of our stay, but the area seems like it will be nicer once that is finished. The amenities are so-so, and the free breakfast in the mornings was sub-par for what we expected for the nightly price.
