Fantastic hotel, with good breakfast cafe underneath and plenty of restaurants close by. Opposite JR, 600m from Metro stop. Close to Sumo & Sword museum. Great rooms and helpful staff.

The staff are very friendly and the location is convenient next to a train station however the “air conditioning” only heats and does not cool. We spent four hot sweaty nights here despite the staff giving us a portable fan. If you open the window then you get a lot of noise and pollution. For this reason I would not stay here again.

Ryogoku View Hotel was our first stop during our trip to Japan. We only stayed for two nights in this hotel but wished we had booked it again for the end of our trip when we were back in Tokyo. Out of all of the hotels that we stayed in (in a major area), this one made the most out of the small space. For the two of us, the bed was a perfect size and there was still space for us to store our items and walk around. We didn't know that our room included a balcony, but it did. That was nice because we left the slider open for some air. The hotel had plenty of food areas right below and down the streets. Easy access to them all by foot, as well as a train station. If you don't mind a walk, we were able to reach Tokyo Sky Tree on foot and back, too. On the opposite side of the river, there are a lot of famous shopping areas, but we didn't get out there this time. The only complaint we could give was that the AC didn't cool the room. We live in a state where 65F is hot during spring, so again, it was nice to have a balcony with a sliding door. At least we had the option. I would say that this place is fairly quiet. It just depends on the other tourists around you. We had a family on their balcony who was arguing with their child about haircuts and piercings at 4 a.m. (Japan Time). We were up with jetlag too, but not disturbing our neighbors.

Small and very noisy.

Room is next to a subway and extremely loud throughout night and morning if you mind noises. I would not recommend base on the noise. Rooms are also really small.

Awesome Stay at the Ryogoku View Hotel

Our stay at the Ryogoku View Hotel from 3/11/25 - 3/17/25 was excellent. As a 3-Bed setup, the room was clean, air conditioning in working order, amenities such as a refrigerator, hot water maker, toiletries and shower soap gel, shampoo & conditioner was a huge plus and very convenient for usage during our stay. Housekeeping and Front Desk personnel were very hospitable, helpful and friendly. Breakfast and other meals were easily accessed at the downstairs coffee shop and adjacent restaurants. Train station right across the street from the hotel was very convenient for additional travel and to Narita. Although, the Edo-Tokyo Museum was closed for construction, that would have been the highlight of our trip. Would definitely return for a stay next time I'm back in Tokyo.
