For starts, hotel is both smoking and non smoking, but even the smoking floors reek of cigarettes. We stayed on a “renovated” floor, but unsure what was considered renovated as the rooms were dated and the hallways stained. As far as the room goes, while it was small, it did have more room than other hotels we’ve stayed at in Shinjuku, but that’s where the positives end. The furniture in the room was stained and grimy, the carpet was greasy (to the point where we felt gross even wearing the disposable slippers), there was gunk and goo covering the walls, mold in the bathroom, and the whole room had the feeling of being on a low budget cruise ship or mobile home. The AC is very dated with “high, medium, low” being the only options. Luckily we stayed in the winter so the weather was on our side, however we were still hot when running on “high” some of the nights so I can’t even imaging how the summer is. Low amenities compared to other hotels we’ve stayed at in the area (even though the price did not reflect that) and very understaffed - the check in and check out process took nearly an hour each. The staff were kind and helpful to the extent they could be. For location, the hotel is located in what seems to be a half abandoned shopping mall that’s very dated and confusing to get around. Some of these items might have not been a deal breaker had the price reflected the condition better, but at nearly $200 a night for an off-season rate, we were massively disappointed.

Do not stay at this hotel! I wasn’t expecting enormous hotel rooms or full amenities going into the stay near Shinjuku. However, this was beyond terrible and I had to write a review. First the room itself is claustrophobic nightmare with twin bed that barely fits. There’s enough space to walk sideways between the bed and wall. If you have a suitcase, good luck opening it without hitting a wall. This is evidence with black marks on the wall. The size itself is enough to run away. I stayed with my infant daughter in that room. And even worse, the heat was so intolerable in that room. It was 60% humidity with 27C. My daughter cried because of the heat. I complained to the desk, but I only received a Dyson fan for my troubles. This didn’t help at all. We barely made it out of this hotel. It’s a health hazard and with unhelpful staff. I’ve stayed at other hotels in Shinjuku, don’t suffer through this one. Find anything else and don’t look back.

Hotel is in a great location and is one of the limousine bus stops from Narita airport which is really convenient and is one of the reasons I booked this hotel. It is close to Shinjuku station and is on the quiet side. The room is clean and spacious enough for a solo traveler. Great amenities and laundry facilities. Staff are great as well and helped me out with luggage forwarding to my next hotel. I would suggest to book with breakfast as it was really good with lots of options and with a great view from the top, I decided to buy a voucher for 1 day but I should have added it in the first place. There is Lawson and Family Mart on the lower levels plus a 7-11 and Ministop just outside the hotel. Some attractions like the Tokyo Metropolitan building and Meiji Jingu Shrine are walkable as well.
