The front desk staff Julia and Messadi were super friendly and spent time speaking with me and helping me improve on my one week Duolingo German! They were super welcoming towards my daughter and me - however I never received that complimentary drink that Expedia told me I would have.
Cleaning staff would come in to clean, but the first time, one left the bag they cleaned full of trash, on the dresser chair and the second time in the week, toppled my premium skincare bottles with the product flowing down the side of the sink. Body soap, toilet paper and facial tissues were not refilled even though they cleaned my room unless I told front desk what I required. There was no available - do not disturb sign for me to reject or be notified of cleaning.
Pillows were flat and lumpy and yellow on the inside. I had to request for two extra pillows from Julia and the blankets did not sit well inside the duvet cover. When I sat down on the bed it made a squeak like an air mattress.
I’m a deep sleeper, but I would be woken up by drunk people in the middle of the night shouting at the top of their lungs and the clacking of their heels. Two nights in a row. It’s no wonder the front door is locked with a code after midnight.
Breakfast had a variety of cereal, rolls, eggs, sausages, bacon, fruit and cold cuts. The coffee had to be ordered by the breakfast staff.
All in all - the front desk is a lifesaver for this hotel and the location that it is truly 5 mins to the Stephanplatz ubahn
