Perfect DC hotel

We were in DC for a concert and chose the Phoenix Park. It was walking distance to Union station for transportation, clean, safe, and very friendly staff. We also enjoyed the complimentary drink at Dubliner’s hotel bar after our show.

We loved this hotel. The staff was very friendly and the room was nice. We also enjoyed the attached restaurant. The only issue was the bathroom. The toilet seat was unstable, there was not enough hot water in the mornings, and why is the toilet paper attahced to the wall near the floor?

While a commend the hotel for the modernization of the facility, the amenities are still subpar. Also be aware VERY aware that the rate advertised is not what you pay. There is an additional $24-32 daily “convenience fee”. But hey they did leave me two previously opened complimentary bottles of water to drink. Do not recommend, drive two blocks and stay at another chain.

The staff was very friendly and helpful. The room was smallish, but cozy. The coffee machines on the 2nd floor make up for there not being coffee in the room. The Capitol and the National Mall a mere blocks away. The Dubliner is essentially part of the hotel, and there are several other restaurants within a half mile. And finally, parking at Union Station is two blocks away.

Looking forward to staying there again!

The front desk staff was so friendly and helpful! Solo traveler to a new city with lots of questions and the staff had all the answers and suggestions. The location is great with many sites in walkable distance. The valet parking personnel were courteous, as well. The bed, sheets, all of it was divine.
