Perfect location right by the train station and bus stops as we didn’t have a car. Lovely walk right next door which I highly recommend. Hotel is old and a bit worn out but very clean and tidy and the staff were very helpful and friendly. Enjoyed our stay in a lovely part of the country.
The warm & helpful catering team at breakfast made up for the consistently cold, unsmiling, & unwelcoming reception team. One of the RECEPTION team - with disappointing inaccuracy - actually gave me far narrower time-parameters for breakfast than those variously advertised online.

Good location. Decor does need updating but clean and fine for an affordable base from which to explore the Lakes.
The service was good but the place is old looking and feels old when moving round to the floors and the old lift which we could not use because we did not trust it but for price we paid was not worth it and dont think will go back anytime soon
They have the longest hallway I’ve ever seen. Our room needs a good 5 minutes walk from reception.
The room itself is pretty old and dusty. We can hear people walking above us with squeaky wood floor sound and window is broken so we can easily hear cars on the road.
Convenient location from train station although need to climb up a hill.
We booked late and weren't guaranteed a ground floor room, we had a beautiful big ground floor room with a lovely view close by to the disabled toilet and disabled ramp at a very good price, Lovely cheerful and very helpful staff.
