The walls in our room were paper thin! There was also some occasional rattling of the pipes somewhere in our room. Also, I emailed the hotel a couple of months ago asking if they would let me shower after my trail race since my wife would have checked us out already in the morning. They said yes, they can accommodate my request (this is main reason why I booked this hotel). However, this wasn't the case. Lastly, the nice lady that checked us in told me and my wife that we can hang out at their dining/lounge area but the guy that manned the front desk the following day said otherwise (since we've checked-out already). Nice hotel location but overall not a great experience. I hope the staff can be aligned with their messaging in the future.

Clean room and staff were super nice. However, front desk staff was busy doing other duties. So front desk was empty when trying to check in/check out. Ended up leaving the key on front desk with a note when trying to check out.

We loved the vintage 1891 hotel that is owner owned and operated now by the 4th generation. We were literally welcomed into their home. Our room was comfortable with all modern conveniences. Above all, the windows opened to provide fresh air!

Denise and her husband were so kind and helpful ! They provided everything we needed and had a great time knowing them! We had a nice partial sea view in our room, however the rooms and furnitures were old. but if you are into these kind of hotels it was nostalgic ! Unfortunately the cleaners didn’t vacuum the floor nor changed the bed sheets everyday! But we enjoyed our stay because of nice view and nice behavior their team had and hotel was located in a good spot in avalon. so close to restaurant and port. Thank you!

The staff at the hotel was so kind and accommodating, they upgraded our room which made the trip a million times more wonderful! So thank you Glenmore! I loved this hotel for being able to walk out the door to coffee shops in the morning, to restaurants at night, and shopping. Thank you for decorating the hotel full of Christmas! I highly recommend!

We found the Glenmore, because the hotel we normally stay at was closed for renovations. What an absolute gem of a find! The hotel is centrally located, the room was very comfortable and in great condition. Most importantly, all of the staff here were absolutely amazing. Possibly the best hotel spirit experience I’ve ever had when you take everything into consideration. We look forward to coming back to Catalina, as we come back frequently, and we will be choosing to stay here from here on.

✨ First trip to Catalina and I’m officially obsessed! The island is breathtaking — ocean views, charming streets, and the kindest people everywhere you go. 💙 I stayed at The Glenmore and it was such a vibe — cozy, historic, and full of character. The staff were beyond friendly and made me feel right at home. There’s no elevator (they offered me a first-floor room), but I chose the third floor for the view and it was totally worth it. 🌅 Highly recommend this spot if you’re planning a Catalina getaway. Can’t wait to come back! 🌺🏝️
