The hotel is in a great location, right on Newbury St, almost right in the middle, walking-wise, of the Common one way and Fenway the other (about 15-minutes to either). The room was comfortable, and the place has that 'old but nice' vibe that is appealing. The only downside was that the shower had a clump of hair from the previous guest in the corner, which brings up the question of whether it was cleaned at all. Sometimes things get missed, and the rest of the bathroom and room seemed clean, but I can certainly say the Newbury staff was lucky it was just me in town and my wife was not with me.

Great location, gorgeous brownstone building lots of character. Eli at front desk is welcoming and friendly. Parking near impossible so don’t drive if you don’t have to! So fun to walk everywhere in Boston!

The service and the staff were excellent and the property is in a great location for touring Boston. The room we had was nice and had everything we needed. A coffee pot in the room would have been good but there was free coffee in the lobby. I would definitely consider staying at the Newbury Guest House again.

My husband and I were visiting Boston to attend Red Sox game and explore the city. We wanted to be able to walk to Fenway Park. We loved the location of the hotel! Walkable to the game but also an easier walk to many dining options and shopping area. We walked to Boston Common and Prudential Tower. Hotel was very clean and comfortable. Staff was friendly, even had an umbrella available to use on the one rainy day we had while there!

Beautiful hotel located in a perfect place to go for a walk, full of stores and restaurants, stores and spectacular streets to visit. The rooms are comfortable and spacious, all linens and towels are perfect. I will be back anyway!
